The rival bidder Halo and Penspen plan was tanker it all to Darwin , the expanding East Complex , where the only built and previously active helium

plant in Australia Linde/BOC remains idle (3 years) waiting for new supply. Would imagine, the Harlequin plan on the same lines.......GLA

The sale of Matahio Energy’s New Zealand assets to independent oil and gas explorer and producer Sunda Energy is good news for New Zealand’s petroleum sector and a further signal of growing international interest in the opportunities on offer, says Resources Minister Shane Jones.

“This transaction is the kind of signal we want to see as we work to reinvigorate New Zealand’s petroleum sector,” Mr Jones says.

“It shows there is still strong international interest in investing here, backing proven assets and bringing new capital, capability and ambition into our system.

The entry of a gas‑focused explorer and producer like Sunda Energy helps strengthen that foundation and supports regions like Taranaki that have powered the sector for decades.

“The assets involved are established operations with existing infrastructure and a skilled local workforce. That’s exactly where we want to see renewed investment and activity, particularly in the short-term to bolster our dwindling gas supply.”

Its the He-3 that is as rare as rocking horse 💩on Earth, which is a super coolant for many things , like MRI machines.

Amadeus basin (Winter) known to have he-3 occurrences in the basin, Officer (Hussar) is said to be geologically almost identical to

the Amadeus basin, so a strong chance, some floating around also......GLA

On that side of things, if we have He-3 in the mix, its a lot lot more, he-3 v he4 standard helium

New operator of our Philippines assets in the Sulu Sea, will have funding to hit the ground running.......GLA

The Australian firm will contribute $1.5 million of seed capital and its shareholders will receive an in-specie distribution of Tetragon shares as part of the spin-out. Once this is done, subject to ASX approval, the company claims that Tetragon will undertake an initial public offering (IPO) under a prospectus to raise a further minimum of $4 million at an issue price of $0.20 per share.

Upon completion of the IPO, the new player will apply for admission to the ASX as a standalone company, providing Triangle shareholders with exposure to the well-funded spin-out, which will initially be focused exclusively on the advancement and development of the assets in the Philippines.

Conrad Todd, Triangle’s Managing Director, commented: “The proposed transaction will establish Tetragon as a stand-alone, Asian focused entity initially holding three permits in the Philippines with its own capital structure, investor base and dedicated management team, while allowing Triangle’s shareholders to retain direct exposure to the Philippines assets and future growth. Tetragon will also seek further Asian oil and gas opportunities.”

the alra is now under review by the company. execution is anticipated subject to approval from traditional landowners. once signed by all parties, the agreement will be submitted to the northern territory minister for the department of mining and energy for the formal grant of the exploration permit.

if not next week, it must be really, really close now, the main hurdle was getting the alra provisional agreement in the first place.
