Not getting on with it , costing the demon duo........from yesterdays budget approval speech
Prime Minister, Kay Rala Xanana Gusmão
Among the main measures foreseen in the proposed amendment to the 2026 State Budget is the creation of a national strategic fuel reserve worth US$174.3 million, intended to ensure approximately seven months of national fuel needs for electricity production. A fuel subsidy program worth US$42 million is also planned, with the aim of mitigating the impact of rising international prices on households and businesses.
The long planned Single string Gas LNG import terminal was hoped by PM Rauk 2021 to be in place by 2025-26, to convert the Islands 3 power stations to GAS their OWN GAS, as the PM put it "when gas becomes available" at the time the tenders for Sunrise was 2030-31, so was never going to be it, had to be
Chuditch, while later the up to 4 string gas lng Export Terminal (sunrise) would join the party........
Also do not need OZ or the Sunrise JV partners for that one, just SOMEONE anyone to fund an alternate source eg
Pipe Chuditch - Bayu Undan pipe onshore to Import terminal at Natarbora? (previous options Beaco , Metinaro)
