China is ready to deepen practical cooperation with Pakistan in various fields, work together to upgrade CPEC cooperation, and help Pakistan consolidate its development foundations and unleash its development potential.

The two allies agreed to promote the implementation of the eight major steps on Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) cooperation in Pakistan, as well as to jointly build "a growth corridor, a livelihood-enhancing corridor, an innovation corridor, a green corridor, and an open corridor" to create an upgraded version of CPEC.

Recalling the 13th CPEC Joint Cooperation Committee (JCC) meeting, the two sides agreed to use the committee's functions to strengthen idea alignment and action coordination for CPEC development.

They agreed to hold the 14th JCC meeting as early as possible on a mutually agreed date.

Could not agree more maybe, the demon due , have been blinkered , Linford Christie tunnel vision, all about Sunrise for two decades, Sunrise is the only asset in their waters (70/30 ish by acreage with OZ Waters) that they do not have 100% land ownership rights etc.

So why have they not gone with Chuditch (Shell 90's full license mapping/seismic over 5 tcf over 10 if Chuditch , Wombat and whatever they called the 3rd bit are as they suspect linked plus many upside leads - Wombat and 3rd on now the Chuditch North and Chuditch South West since Sundagas took over. What we now have as Quokka was one of the extra leads Shell had as Bandicoot) or Kelp drilled in 1998 discovery same year as Chuditch, this one by Mobil (now ExxonMobil) they gave it a massive 10.5 - 14.5 tcf, bigger than Chuditch and G.S put together. Laid idle since.....

The answer, OZ and the Sunrise JV Conoco Phillips , Shell , Woodside, did not want a bar of the TL onshore project, at the time TL held ZERO % of Sunrise when they vetoed 2001 plan Darwin production 2003 (plant half built) and then FLNG 2008, first ship designated for 2009 production at G.S........ the rest went into hibernation mode, as no one else wanted to have huge assets, with nowhere to go, or pay to have them built on TL.

As you say , wings clipped, they could have moved other things on decades ago, with OTHERS, not remained with tunnel vision , all roads lead to Sunrise and Beaco (now Natarbora) if a spade ever goes in the ground......

Now things have changed, all the big boys moving away from oil ,to focus on Natural Gas/LNG , plus BLUE/GREEN clean projects in Hydrogen , Helium and Ammonia, forecast by 2050, still expect around 40-45% of those future for eg Hydrogen production to be derived from Natural Gas reservoirs (the rest artificially )

As we have seen this week, Inpex/Japan talking , about involvement in Natarbora, others waiting in the wings but all still wait on Sunrise as OZ has first dibs.........

BUT, like with other things, if they had happened, we would not be a market minnow , sitting holding a Super Majors asset.....waiting for the final pieces of the puzzle to fall in.........GLA
