According to Hewie Rattray CEO of Vinanz. He has it from multiple sources that Today was caused by a single investor dumping 3 of the popular treasury stocks from a single Hargreaves’s Landsdown account This apparently triggered all of the panic selling across the board in this space.

Hey normbeef - the problem is the panic selling. It become infectious and the bubble can burst.

Laura - quick question.

You mention they could put the money into establishing a bitcoin treasury. Do you know if this is the plan by the BOD for Wecap (a Bitcoin treasury) or is it wishful thinking? Apologies if that sounds flippant, just trying to understand where the idea has originated and how concrete it may be.

I feel a lot of stocks are being touted as bitcoin treasuries and I’m not so sure about some of them. COIN and BTC (and SwC) have a clear strategy. Others are not so clear (accepting payment in bitcoin, no talk of following the same aggressive path of COIN etc).

But thanks for the head up and I will keep an eye on WCAP… might be worth a small investment to keep my eye on it (very small!)

I’ve been on some really toxic boards, and some good ones (and identified a few decent posters to pay attention to!). It’s a shame when a board is toxic, these boards can be REALLY useful if used properly.

I hold both this and COIN - I want COIN to move not both at the same time!!! (so I can move profits from one to the other and catch the move second time).

Anyone else expecting a treasury update RNS tomorrow?..

Hey spitfire - I took the same from the PR1 RNS. IF they did RNS that they’d bought Bitcoin then I’d take another look but the RNS is not suggesting that is their strategy.

Intersting week, COIN added to the treasury Mon, Wed and Fri….. things are hotting up!

AMOI - I made a good profit on them but I am out waiting to see what happens next. Need to raise funds and buy bitcoin or go nowhere.

PR1 - the RNS only mentions bitcoin as payment of services… so not as aggressive a business plan as COIN, SWC.

BMV - gold miner. It’s a gold miner I’m not convinced.

I currently hold this and COIN but may trade in and out the others depending on what they RNS. COIN clearly are managing things well and BTC listing on NASDAQ is exciting. I feel the listing will happen then next day or two additional bitcoin guys - then a fundraise

PR1 do not appear to be following the same path as BTc, SWC and COIN.

PR1 only discuss taking payment by bitcoin and not the same aggressive bookbuild of the former 3.

On the basis I wouldn’t bother with PR1.. BMV - the gold miner? Don’t know enough but I’d also be unsure.

COIN, SWC and BTC have good management behind them so I’d stick to those 3

Finally managed to sort out a platform where I can buy these… just need funds to move out of H&L and over.

What’s annoying is I was watching these at 1/3 the price lol!

AMOU has funds for additional Bitcoin purchases.

Would be nice to see a fundraise to accelerate that process
