Institutional investors don’t go chasing rainbows.

They pick a good prospect get in and can afford to wait.

Private investors hop around far more and they will return once the action starts. Simples.

You are bang on LW; the lack of newsflow means the SP is not going up and money has diverted to other shares that are moving. Once the newsflow starts here cash will flow back in and OMI will move on.

Someone was suggesting MILA. …. when you compare OMI and MILA the grades are night and day. Also the amount of drilling, the pace by OMI has been pretty aggressive. This company is going places.

This is a lull before they kick on. First target is 16-18p but realistically this is into the mid to high 20s later this year once the previous high is taken out.

So taking the numbers in my last post - with 5 wells producing (by end of 2025) the MCAP could hit £80mill.

And with a bit of a tailwind (or 6 wells producing) we could see £100mill MCAP this year.

TBH I feel this is a rare share where they underpromise and over deliver. The rate they are going there should be more than 5 wells by end of year.

I read the following (Charles archer fyi) - suggests £64mill MCAP by end of this year (and I’d say easily £100mill by end of 2026):

“Let’s assume a new well drilled each quarter - then we will have five wells by the end of 2025, nine by end 2026, 14 by end 2027 and 19-20 by end 2028.

If you have $80 million in revenue and a classic 6x ratio - then all being well, the market cap could rise to $480 million by end 2027.

But let’s do year-end 2025. Let’s assume four wells only, or $20 million pa in revenue. The market cap should, all being equal, rise to 4x on a early-stage basis (risk adjusted) to $80 million (£64 million) - representing a 2.5x upside by year-end.

If all goes to plan.”

Tbh I followed Portfoliopower’s lead on WSBN. It made sense there would be excitement. I do plan to sell most but retain a free carry. I did sell WSBN (entirely) to chase the bitcoin treasuries when they went mad (and I think there will be another wave there).

I’d also buy more TIR if we were allowed - so frustrating.

Back to OMI… a couple of weeks wait that would do me nicely!

I had funds here and GGP and sold GGP to buy HEX about 17p. This really is in a cracking uptrend, next stop a new ATH…

I’m not gona lie, part of me hopes OMI falls further but the absolute bottom is 6.1p IMO - and I’m not at all convinced we will see that

Patience and we will see 16-18p again (and probably much more)…

I agree LW - I have money elsewhere (HAMA and/or WSBN) that is making its way here.

No doubt in my mind about the direction of the next wave…

I don’t hold GGP. I should and I want to but currently other shares are catching my attention including WSBN.

I get that GGP is a different beast and a safe investment but surely if you held GGP you’d divert a % of that holding here (just as you have Ppower). You’d be mad not to take a chance here, knowing at the ultimate very worst GGP will easily make that money back ..
