Beginning to think the 30m shares for staff LTIP (Long Term Incentive Plan) are more Golden Handcuffs rather than Rewards. THG just can't afford an exodus of talent

Anyone recall Harriet Green's time at Thomas Cook. She joined the company in 2012 and in just 2 years turned the struggling company around and put the SP up 1000%.

Someone who wasn't emotionally attached to the brand but got to know the business in detail and exacted speedy tough decisions.

That's the sort of person we need running THG.

Look at THG, in last two years we've done the opposite with the SP falling over 60%.

Someone just bought 512,000 shares after the close UT.

So Matt, do tell me in your own words why a share price of 170 wasn't good enough 2 years ago but a share price of 58p today, under your stewardship, is good enough today.

Think of the 30.6m shares issued this way.

30.6m shares at the current SP of 60p are worth £18.4m. This money isn't free, it didn't magically appear. It is share holders money.

When the BOD do this, they are forcing US to take on payroll costs.

What was the point of splitting up the 3 divisions at a cost of £15m if not then to take advantage of it.

I'll bet the BOD are still scratching their elbows over it.

Yes it is, but not with our money. The dilution means we are ultimately paying for it. So MM is using our money so that he doesn't have to use the payroll.

WOW man..... a whole 70p. That doesn't sound good to me and I imagine few others.

70p represents an on going failure of the BOD.

If there isn't a significant change in business circumstances and the SP between Year End Reults and AGM then I'm afraid it ain't going anywhere soon and 70p will be the ceiling for the foreseeable.

So over the last 12 months rewarded for what exactly. I think THG should issue another RNS pointing out specifically what additional value these two have added to the business. Or is it just for sticking with THG. If that's the case, then where is our 'dividend' for sticking with THG.

Looking at the Share Price, a lot of nothing going on. For the last two years, a lot of nothing going on.

The only 2 times in the last 2 years this share has looked alive was when some outsider offered to buy it.

Well 2 months to go and we will be at the second anniversary of "170 fundamentally under values the business", with ref to the Candy offer.

The year end results have to be blockbuster with some other game changing big news. Otherwise, if THG is to have any credibility going forward the next person to walk needs to be MM himself. He cannot preside over a company with a SP of about 60p two years after he said 170 was too cheap to sell it.

Interesting that this is very shortly after he was named as a global top 50 leader in digital commerce. And, not that long after a Chairman was appointed to Ingenuity. I did wonder at the time why a THG Division needed a Chairman.

Vivek might have been technically able but not the right public face to grow the business. Anyway, all guesses and we can only hope it was the right thing to do rather than a reaction to overall performance.

MM and THG are relatively silent and with another 5-6 weeks to go to the Year End results, we will have had a rather lengthy significant news blackout.

I do hope it is because they are working on and soon going to announce something good.

Why split all divisions if not to take advantage of it. And, if there is no big news, then what exactly have they been working on.
