Investing in Valirx8 Sep 2021 12:33
The only way to be sure is to study the stock you are investing in. For me I have been seriously hurt by the previous management. When Suzy took over, I wasn't initially sure what to expect. So, I waited for her to make some changes and then I started to buy into VAL again. I have also exchanged emails with Suzy. One thing I really like about Suzy is she listens to shareholders and she values our opinion. It doesn't mean that she will do what we say but just listening to shareholders gives us a voice. Most AIM CEO don't even answer your emails and you can forget about them holding live Q&A's.
As for Science, I have been in VAL for many years (+5 years), been to 3 AGM's and spoken to the previous management on many occasions, read all the Q&A's. Investors like rhubarbmk2, Grace, etc have greatly enhanced my knowledge in Valirx especially VAL201. All this helps my confidence to hold a decent position in VAL again. If you invest in VAL then actively participate in the Q&A. Ask any question you have no matter how silly it may sound. Your confidence will grow in time. Maybe you are not ready to buy at 23p but if the company is growing and making real progress then you can buy at any price. The purpose of investing is growing your initial investment. So, if you buy at 40p and after 6 months its at 60p you have made 50% gain. As long as you are growing your initial capital you will be better off and happy.
It’s good to look at charts. If a stock is trending down then don't but buy it. VAL has been very stable for a long time and has built up a strong support at around 18p to 19p. If we can take out 26p/27p zone then I see us settling at around +35p.
Its important to invest what you are comfortable with losing. Then try to plan your trade and not react to what someone wrote on BB/twitter. It’s good to write down your entry levels and exit levels. You can change these if the circumstances changes. Most investors buy a stock but don’t know when to get out. The stock goes up several hundred percent and then drops right back down. They are still holding it. (google trading plan).
