Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Grim, I’m not sure if your message is intended as light humour but I didn’t say anything of the sort.
I’m simply pointing out all BBs become over run with morons when the going gets good. You always have three sides forming, the rampers brigade, the derampers and those who try to police.
The investment strategy and knowledge gets lost in confrontation alongside a barage of insults and “my dad is bigger than your dad” petulance.
I’ve quite enjoyed reading KK’s, CC’s, Uncertains et al threads over the past few months. Some great opinions and insights.
Feels like CASP has turned a corner and there’s clear objectives with strategy to get the deeps flowing unlike previous “it’s blocked again, might try to some drain cleaner down it”.
It’s great seeing the SP buoyant and no longer at bargain basement.
Good things are yet to come and I wish all the very best in seeing this through and hopefully back over 10p soon.
Hey all, been a little while.
I hate it when the BB’s get overrun with newbies asking “is it too late to buy” or the best one is, “can someone tell me why I should buy”.
There’s a few stocks that have telegram groups with certain LTHs being admins on the groups. Just as a suggestion. Maybe worth looking into.
Just happened to see this on the top climber board, It was back in 2016/2017 where it climbed from .4p to 4p. Was surprised to see many of the same posters from 2017.
I was an avid posted from 2015 - 2017. Became disconnected as i hit my sell targets
Hope all are well.
If it is just the one buyer hoovering up the stock, they know exactly what they’re doing. It isn’t a short term play, seen as RDS are also drilling the odds of success are increased.
The price increase over the past two weeks priced in the RNS IMO, traders who bought on rumour sold on news. We’ve still got a fair bit to go. I expect to see incremental increases until drill results
“The next few months are clearly the most exciting period in several years for petroleum exploration offshore Namibia, notably with Total's upcoming Venus well, followed by the Shell well in PEL 0039."
Speaks volumes
Global Petroleum Limited
("Global" or "the Company")
Approval of entry into the next licence phase for Petroleum Exploration Licence 94, Namibia
Global Petroleum Limited (AIM: GBP) is pleased to announce, in relation to its licence PEL0094 (Block 2011A) offshore Namibia, that the Ministry of Mines and Energy ("Ministry") has agreed to Global's proposal to enter into the next licence sub-period from September 2021 to September 2022.
Under the terms of the Petroleum Agreement for PEL0094 signed in September 2018, the 4 year Initial Exploration Period ("IEP") was split into 2 sub-periods of 2 years each, with the first sub-period ending in September 2020, subsequently extended to September 2021 with a reduced work programme (see Global's announcement of 29 July 2020).
Global further expects to apply for a 1 year extension to the 4 year IEP at the appropriate time - such extensions are commonly granted by the Ministry, for example in the case of the Company's previous Licence PEL0029.
The work commitment for the upcoming phase of the licence is to acquire and process 2,000 square kilometres of 3D seismic data, a commitment which Global expects to fulfil via a farm-out. This new 3D seismic data would increase the chance of success of the Marula prospect and confirm the prospective resources in the eastern part of the licence, which were announced on 26 January 2021.
Peter Hill, Global Petroleum's CEO, commented:
"We would like to thank the Ministry of Mines and Energy and are delighted to move into the next licence phase on PEL0094, and to progressing work on what we believe is a highly prospective licence. The next few months are clearly the most exciting period in several years for petroleum exploration offshore Namibia, notably with Total's upcoming Venus well, followed by the Shell well in PEL 0039."

@ John.1974. Sometimes the glass is just half empty with some people.
We're 127% up month to date and some people are complaining like we're 127% down month to date.
In regards to my previous statement regarding Dave Wall, I should have stated it is speculated that Dave Wall took a sizeable holding prior to leaving. There's no facts to confirm this until the website updates with his holding position or we may never know if he purchased it via personal means.
It's a delayed market reaction, it's finally found the momentum which has been overdue for several weeks.
News has been pending on several fronts prior to Dave Wall leaving
1. Hydrocarbons present on 25% of samples with more samples pending confirmation of oil discovery.
2. Debt free
3. There is rumours of takeover. An exploration company that clears its debts and is in a cash rich position is rare. Most are in the red until they have a substantial discovery and then taken over.
4. The market likes it when Directors buy shares and Dave Wall bought a shed load before leaving.
This board has always been infested with parasites. When the SP is moving up they're no where to be seen.
Nothing has changed. The company is no longer in an offer period and we're closer to asset sale than ever before.
SP movement is expected as peoples agendas change.
My holdings are locked in the bottom drawer, bring on the sale, I expect nothing short of £1.30 subject to the agreement on dividends.
I think it could be a combination of a few things, we have never recovered from the COVID lows. Most stocks have bounced back. We're overdue news on many fronts.
Let's hope the fracking will deliver the results we all want.
Does anyone have knowledge or experience on fracking oil wells? I've never come across fracking when it comes to oil.
What are the success rates and timescales on fracking?
When fracking for shale gas in the UK, it was met with huge criticism due to seismic activity.
At todays prices:
$70 per barrel x 1,500 BOPD
= $105k per day gross or $38.3m p/a per deep
--------------------------------------------------------------
4 deeps gross $153m
Surely we'd be looking at >25p per share.
I wasn't in GKP at the time, but would be bouncing off the walls if we followed suit.
