There are 2 main reasons why UKEn have not released the position of the proposed site west of Weymouth. They are;

1) Site of Special Scientific Interest

2) Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty

Not sure how they are going to wriggle around getting planning approved in these areas.

Where is the money in owning a big underground warehouse? You don't own the hydrogen. It's a bit like owning a storage facility.

From UKEn "Portland Port: A perfect location, a unique opportunity. Construction Headquarters, accommodation, transport services" No mention of hydrogen or caverns at Portland in the latest offerings. In fact they have never mentioned where exactly this new site for salt caverns is apart from the fact it is west of Weymouth. Ever been had?

Someone should tel TH2 that Portland is a non-starter and they have moved to the west of Weymouth. The offshore wind will also go to Chickerell. He really can't get anything right.

UK onshore oil daily production rose 2% in February 2025, compared with the previous month but daily onshore gas production dropped 4%.

Total onshore oil volume for February 2025 fell 8% – but not as much as would have been expected from the shorter month. Total gas volume for the month was down 13% – more than would be explained by the fewer production days.

The February 2025 data shows there was no production at 14 UK onshore oilfields. This was the same number and fields as in January 2025 and December 2024.

Heyco (formerly Egdon Resources): Dukes Wood, Fiskerton Airfield, Keddington, Kirklington, Waddock Cross

HHDL/UKOG: Horse Hill

Star Enery (formerly IGas): Avington, Egmanton, Nettleham, Scampton, South Leverton, Stainton

It will be interesting to see if Avington ever makes it back on line.

The terms plonk and slug are all I remember about the Balcombe well test. They never really explained in detail the real reasons for failure and what went wrong.

ANGS and UKOG are 2 very similar companies imo and the share dealings between Flowermay and Danadav still linger like a bad penny.
