Perhaps if you had understood "The amount of gas produced a month at present is what will be allowed a day " you would know under 10 tonnes a month is what they are producing at the moment.

The EA permit is not as good as you make out. The amount of gas produced a month at present is what will be allowed a day. Can't really see that happening as 10 tonnes a day would be good enough for gas to wire.
As for the injector well just look at the production/injection figures for other fields in the area and tell me how good they are. We don't even know if the reservoirs are connected with a fault line between the two wells. Another throw of the dice.
The new capacity of the Bunded Export Oil Tank x 1 (Capacity 52.46m3) (330 bbls) doesn't give the impression of expected greatly increased flow rates. Each to their own.

IGas will not appeal against planning refusal for Springs Road shale gas site

IGas has announced it will not appeal against the recent refusal of planning permission at its shale gas site in Misson, Nottinghamshire. The wellpad will now be restored.

IGas had wanted to extend the life of Misson site, known as Springs Road, until November 2023 while it sought to overturn the moratorium on fracking in England.

But in July 2021, Nottinghamshire County Councillors voted to refuse consent and said the site, which is next to a nature reserve, must be restored.

The decision, by 12 votes and one abstention, went against the advice of planning officers.

Wildlife organisations, local councils, campaign groups and more than 70 people had submitted objections to the application. There were no public comments in support.

Credibility? Tosh. It was the 22% discount that accounted for £5m of that. They were pushed to get £1/2m on the open offer. You can't shovel "it" uphill.

They do however have to get the councillors to agree. It will be interesting to see if the Tory councillors follow the stance of their MP and that could well be what decides it imo.

Really? Is that the next ramp. 2 miles from your 2nd biggest airport. I know the yanks frac 9000 feet below airports but that is into shale but the Portland is only a couple of thousand feet below the surface. Any of our learned geologists care to explain the difference between drilling into shale and the naturally fractured Portland limestone? Didn't think so.

Is the nearest well to Loxley apart from Alford-1/2. And it has a CPR.

The Godley Bridge gas field was discovered in 1982 by Conoco with the well Godley Bridge-
1. The discovery well proved economic gas presence and a minor amount of condensate
from Upper Jurassic Portland Sandstones. The trap is a broad east-west trending anticline of
Tertiary age. It was formed as a result of the gentle reactivation of a Lower Cretaceous-aged
normal fault to the north.
The field was subsequently appraised to the west by Godley Bridge-2 in 1987. Unfortunately
the well was dry penetrating the sand too far downdip in a saddle between the field and a
second culmination to the west. Conoco drilled Alford-1 on trend to the east on a separate
closure in 1986. This well was dry, but it is believed it was not drilled on a valid closure, but
rather on a structural nose. Both appraisal wells confirmed the presence of the good quality
Portland Sandstone reservoir.
In addition to the gas in the Portland, the well also encountered gas in the Great Oolite and
Inferior Oolite Limestones. Reservoir quality in these intervals was poor and test rates were
low.
The Godley Bridge-1 well tested gas with 5-30 ppm H2S at rates of 1.44 MMscf/d from the
uppermost zone of the Portland Sandstone. Volumetric methods have been used to estimate
GIIP with a minimum, mid-case and maximum of 4 – 9 – 17.6 bcf. Indicative recovery factors
have been used to estimate recoverable volumes as shown in the table below.

Hello, Share Mashers. Gas prices rose by 37% in one session earlier this week. Imagine how that should raise the profits of BP (BP.) as it is also an explorer, producer and seller of liquid gas. And yet the price of BP shares actually dipped by 2.5% on Wednesday. They’re up again as I write, but, in the circumstances, you might think the shares would be soaring. I may be missing something, but after a great deal of searching, I can’t imagine what that might be.
