The hope that sanctions on Iran will be lifted is pushing oil prices down. The barrel price of Brent oil continued to decline and fell below $ 93.

Oil prices fell below $93/barrel, with hopes of Iranian oil returning to global markets.

Despite the worry caused by the Ukraine-Russia tension, oil prices are falling on hopes that the talks with Iran in Vienna to revive the 2015 nuclear deal will yield results. 

The hopes that the US sanctions on Iran will be lifted and 1.3 million barrels of Iranian oil will return to the global markets have brought the price of Brent oil up to $ 92.10 per barrel. It is currently trading at $92.72, down 25 cents compared to yesterday. American West Texas oil is also trading at just over $91/barrel.

Is that u know who with 2 accounts running on here? He keeps forgetting the OGA have the biggest say if UKOG can inject into HH-2Z. The EA permission is mostly about downsizing the tank size to comply with "Lower-tier COMAH Establishment". A Bunded Export Oil Tank x 1 (Capacity 52.46m3) is not very big. Only 330 barrels so UKOG are not expecting miracles with future production in the short term.

IEA President Fatih Birol stated that it is important for OPEC+ to reduce the oil production gap and they hope that this gap will be closed.

IEA President Fatih Birol called for closing the gap between the production targets set by OPEC and its allies and the actual production. 


International Energy Agency (IEA) President Fatih Birol drew attention to high oil prices and stated that it is important for OPEC+ member producers to reduce the difference between target and actual production for price balance. Birol said, "There is a serious difference between the targets set by OPEC+ members for production levels and the amount they produce today. I am hopeful that OPEC+ will close this gap and provide more oil to the market." 


OPEC+ members produced 900 thousand barrels/day below their target in January.  


US AND BRAZIL ADDITIONAL PRODUCTION CAN LEAVE THE PRESSURE

In his assessment at a conference he attended in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Birol also noted that they hoped that additional oil production from the USA and Brazil would ease the pressure on prices. 


Stating that the current high energy prices also pose a risk for the economic recovery, Birol stated that the recovery experienced by the global economy is at risk of being much weaker.

How do you know that? You don't. Do you think I post everything I find out? That's for me to know.
