Operational Update: Broadford Bridge-1/1z Oil Discovery, Weald Basin, UK

UK Oil & Gas Investments PLC (London AIM: UKOG) has been informed by its 100%-owned subsidiary Kimmeridge Oil & Gas Limited that well testing operations have now ceased at Broadford Bridge in West Sussex. Equipment is being removed from the site and the Company will update the market once data and test results have been assessed.

In the meantime, the focus now shifts to the Horse Hill well site (located in licence PEDL137), operated by Horse Hill Developments Ltd (HHDL), where an extended well test of the Horse Hill-1 oil discovery will commence once all regulatory approvals are in place. UKOG owns a 49.9 per cent interest in HHDL and 32.435 per cent interest in the Horse Hill site and PEDL137.

lolol so 4-1/2" in 9-5/8" casing is going to do a LOT lolol... you lost about 2/3rds of your penetration capability because of the gap from perf gun to casing, and as it is 9-5/8" casing it is also heavier wall. Test results gonna be ermmm interesting NOT.

Anyone with an ounce of sense would have loaded only one side of the 4/1/2" perf guns and used special stand off's to force the loaded gun side near to the casing wall to get best penetration or use the correct 7" guns to do the job. What a joke !!!"

MAPEG rejected Derkim AŞ's 3 separate oil exploration requests for lands in Siirt, Şırnak and Mardin. Derkim Poliüretan Sanayi ve Ticaret AŞ, the land with a width of 15,301ha and sheet number M47-b3 within the borders of Siirt province; In order to obtain an oil exploration license on the M48-d1 sheet numbered M48-d1 area with a width of 15.326ha in Siirt and on the M47-c1, c2 sheet numbered area with a width of 30.650ha spread within the borders of the provinces of Siirt, Şırnak and Mardin, we applied to the General Directorate of Mining and Petroleum Affairs (MAPEG). ) had made three separate applications. MAPEG, after examining the company's demands; Based on Article 7 of the Turkish Petroleum Law No. 6491 titled “Application and licensing procedure”, Article 9 titled “Examination and Evaluation” and Article 10 titled “Conclusion of Applications” of the Turkish Petroleum Law Implementation Regulation, the applications were rejected.

AME and the Company's bid for three new licences in last year's Turkish mini-licence round, announced on 10 December 2020, was ultimately unsuccessful. The mini licence round attracted several other bidders including the Turkish national oil company TPAO. Although the result was disappointing given the work programme offered by AME and UKOG, the bid was always ancillary to the Company's main focus of appraising Basur-Resan.

We now understand from various sources in Ankara that whilst GDMPA, the Turkish licence regulator, recommended the award of more than one licence to the AME led group, the Ministry awarded all these licences in favour of TPAO following their recent successes in the Black Sea."

Application for 3 new Turkish licences

UK Oil & Gas PLC (London AIM: UKOG) is pleased to announce that together with its 50-50 Turkish joint venture partner, Aladdin Middle East ("AME"), the Company has applied to the Turkish authorities for three further exploration licences in south east Turkey. The application area covers four c. 150 km² blocks lying to the south and south east of the Company's 305 km² Basur-Resan Licence (see RNS releases of July 23 and October 13, 2020). This application is on a ground floor basis with UKOG responsible solely for its 50% share of any future costs..............

The four geologically prospective blocks were offered in a licence round which attracted three other applications, including one from TPAO the Turkish state oil & gas company.

Further to a recent favourable meeting with the Turkish licence regulator, GDMPA, we understand that the AME/UKOG application has now been passed to the Turkish government for approval. At this stage, whilst indications are positive, we await formal notification as to which licence or licences, if any, are awarded to AME/UKOG. Notification is expected within 60 days - results and terms will be released in due course.

Applied for in 2020 and rejected just over a month later.

Mentioned in the Interim results in 2021 and application to drill by Derkim AŞ in August 21 yet UKOG inform us TPAO were awarded the licence areas in December 21.

How the hell can you build a perforating string when you don't know the length, the size of the casing and the type of formation you will be shooting the shots into?
