MM's generally get a heads up on RNS and Buy / Sell orders - but their role doesn't extend much further than that. They won't be valuing a company and be privy to confidential commercial discussions. They'll react to investor sentiment and trade activity.

I think we're all seeing how hard it is to transition from a small-cap to a mid-cap in O&G. It requires a lot of cash, careful planning and patience. In years gone by, patience was was a lot easier to find. These days the bulletin boards breed a manifestation of keyboard CEO's who think success happens overnight. Guess what, it doesn't. If it did, everyone would be doing it and frankly the stock market is awash with the epitaphs of companies who pandered to the pressures of shareholders and over-stretched themselves too far too soon. Turning back to Highlands, well it's been 3-4 years in the making to get to this position, where they now have a first-rate team, earning the respect of the industry, rubbing shoulders with the big boys and have a clear business model to grow year on year. All it needs a little more patience. But for the rainbow chasers, then just consider their couple of aces up the sleeve which can propel them straight into the mid-cap league if either come off....

Cully said we were getting something like WTI minus $2...the actual figure he mentioned was "$65 net net net to Highlands...". So this figure can be used in calculations based on what our 7.5% will earn - which can be scaled up the way the oil price is rising!

They've also banked $3.8m from the first two wells. Don't think that "funding DTU" will be material and hopefully it'll be an additional income generator soon. Can't see that Helios will be too expensive in the immediate future also. Remember that ED was seen as a way of funding the other high reward plays anyway.

MM’s will argue that they don’t value the company but act on supply and demand, however distorted the MCAP & true valuation may be.

Thought it an excellent promotional pitch! These guys come across as very knowledgeable and investable so hopefully the've more than piqued the interest of new investors. RP: "This is just the beginning for Highlands"!

@ Lawrmyer I only passed on what EB stated re the Cantor note: “by next Friday, hopefully”. Others also received the same email & confirmed this.

Those 21p trades (at least) were Buys.

I would expect so - the COGCC website is showing all 6 have been spud.

Today’s summary is closing above 21.06 and should then get to a support level @ 23p and clear to go back to 36p. Obviously there’s any number of events landing that gets us well past that!

I completely agree HD. Cully said they were about to “inundate the market” with news so B_a_b_a you need to get used to the idea!

Maybe a fund has put in a large buy order at a low price & it’s being walked down to scare investors into providing the supply? Hope that’s not the case, especially when one our MM’s agreed the SP is undervalued, but the greedy MM’s will try all tactics.

Aren’t significant shorts supposed to be disclosed? There’s nothing on the register. Although I’m not so naive to discount some dark forces at work.

Understand your caution re anonymous posters! You can always email Eric to ratify? He didn’t just send this email to me btw, so if any others on this forum received it then I’m sure they validate the veracity of my excerpts. I’m not overly disappointed on the timing, it’s actually better than I thought. Saying that, I don’t think it’ll make or break the SP and any large investors will do their own due diligence. A favourable outcome with Renegade on the southern sections should provide a more immediate encouragement for thethe funds. Hopefully the PR company will also step up & publicise the broker note if it’s as good as we anticipate.
