Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
I've been topping up for months at up to 52p.
Beginning to wonder. :-(
Have signed, but a long way to go.
Probably never get to hear about the stuff we need to, even if we succeeded.
My maths is rudimentary a lifetime after A-levels, but 3i figures confuse me.
PE 4.25 - Earnings 475 - div. 50.5 - yield 2.5% ... is the dividend covered 9.4 times?
Over two years, from 30p down, believing in a valuable to society ideas company, I pumped £23.6K from dividends from my other holdings, + savings...
Sadder and wiser?
I hope so.
Chid - realizing it is impossible that the arch villain has done nothing other than wreck the world, principally supporting the US after 9/11, I NOW, in hindsight, wish we had let Saddam continue his murderous way.
But it is not a moral view. There were/are still, in my view, other, decent outlooks.

old, still valid.
Just checked - the drop... I suspect the AGM with 30% voting against the climate change projection. I had assumed it was those thinking it was too much. Or is it not far enough? If the latter, that may have a negative outlook. I've heavy commitments, otherwise my £1100 div. would go to adding more at under 450/470. LTH.
SD - indeed, she is, and now a source of cashflow assistance, as our finances are reversed.
My portfolio was much more adventurous than hers. HA!
There's a moral there somewhere. :-)
SD - sadly I have others to "compensate" so nursing net portfolio loss the last 3 years. :-(
Averaged 8/12% annually, up to then.
I bought my ex, now BF, 2500 3i @ 450, added 500 @ 949 - 7 and 5 years ago.
And SMT - @ 204, sold half @ 1200 to 1500, THAT'S jammy!
I regularly wish I had her adviser.
Bought 1800 9 years ago at 200. Now 1550, having got more than my original stake in sales alone, with great dividends extra, a happy punter. :-)
FWIW,
Bought 5000 in 2007 @ 140. Added, recently @ 240, now 6900.
My FT portfolio gives a total return of 108%, 6.75% annually.
Not sparking, like 3i and Inchape, but solid, and feels safe.
Shell also feels safe, but returns very poor...
Yep, We're now £24K in, worth £1.5K - ouch!
Just now, blood all over the walls everywhere, everything I hold is massively down...
A few more interest rate increases, and meltdown?
Deffo, I've also had my buys marked as sells, now cheered by the recent buys at 2.6/2.8.
As mentioned, worried about the sale of 57 for the princely total of £1.4 :-)
Did he know something? :-/
Meant to say 25p to 32p paid... sob, sob.
