Can you please provide your reasoning for this?
Do you not think this share will recover with travel already recovering and revenues increasing? Of course debt is still high but hopefully this will start to reduce. No high interests due as already fixed at lower rates giving rr time to pay down debt. I realise the ceo has caused damage in his choice of words but 80 seems low

Im sure you have all seen this.
Not good news. Doesn't take much to lower share price. Hope its not another Trent 1000 similarity.

My thoughts:
I just read this article and I am dissappinted is his negative rhetoric.
He is determined to inflict as much damage as he can. I'm not sure why he is constantly attacking RR. In the article his view is, the engines with fuel burn savings resulting in more on wing and higher maintenance costs or attacking the Power Systems transition from diesel to electric. Of course all this negativity with a rating of underweight damages the future of RR and leads to fall in share price. As you know I contacted David Perry but refuses to engage in any private discussion as he says he is not regulated to speak to me as a private invester.
As private shareholders not sure what recourse we could take to shut this man up. Its a pity RR could not challenge his views as they continue to impact our future.
I thought that this board was all about sharing factual information. It's dissappointing that some people only share views which attack people.
I post rarely but try look for helpful information which may or not be helpful in these difficult times.
I am an ex rr engineer having worked for the company for over 40 years. I have knowledge of rr and when I see potential good news and share that news, possibly opening up a thread for discussion, is surely what a board is all about?

Rolls-Royce (RR.L) also lagged behind despite announcing that it expects to meet forecasts for the full year thanks to a recovery in long-haul flying and a strong defence business.
Sophie Lund-Yates, lead equity analyst at Hargreaves Lansdown, said: “Rolls Royce is doing all it can within its control. Costs are being managed by inflation-linked clauses in its customer contracts, debt’s being repaid, and crucial Engine Flying Hours are edging upwards. The trouble is, and which has been the case since the pandemic struck, the group’s grappling against a multitude of headwinds from external forces.
"Engine Flying Hours, which are used to calculate how often Rolls Royce’s engines are serviced, will never take off completely while restrictions remain in China. At the same time, while the debt pile is coming down, and is on a fixed interest rate, it is still suffocatingly large. The group’s carrying £4bn ($4.5bn) of drawn credit around, and that will limit growth for a while yet because lightening that load takes priority over anything more exciting."
So what makes you think this is a basket case?
Can you provide a balanced view?

I despair with these so called experts. All gloomy causing misery resulting in inflation woes. Same with Covid predictions.
