Wow. Airbus nose diving. Reminds us of Quantas Airbis Engine failure where RR dived but weeks later recovered. Maybe there is some hit to RR due to short term pressures caused by this software update/replacement? Maybe, the ongoing helecopter litigation, Maybe, the potential endangered birds that may delay the SMR program, maybe..........

Hi Retirement plan. I hope so. Not slept well last night as I was contemplating selling if we got to 1020 today.

So much good news and after reading that correction article did not help my well being. Only Svends words of wisdom keeping me sane.

Back in 2022 when the war started the share price was down. Now, with news of a peace deal we are down again.

I agree and I did sell some at 10.38 then realised and bought back in at 10.27. I hold my hands up and panicked. As I said I should know better. RR fundamentals all good as you know. Apoligise for my 'Mr Mannering' moment.

I think when you make big gains you do not want to see them go. Occasionally, I do find support from this board especially in turbulent times. 😅

Personally I came close to selling half. I have been invested for a number of years and should know better. I think we may be ok but budget is now the biggest worry. So. Do I sell half before or wait? Rhetorical of course.

I will sell half if we get to low 1030. I knew we would be lower today after us and asia crash but this is crazy. Good news for RR at every level with a Moodys upgrade.

You know everyone pans Trump but look what investment he's involved in for US.

600 billion dollars from Saudi. We were lucky to get some news on the recent SMR award and only mentioned RR as a passing thought in the bbc article. We were awarded a token few SMRs. Trump investing one billion in nuclear and we get a few million towards nuclear. Our government more interested in net zero causing untold harm, but happy to import gas from other countries but closing down our industries.

Starmer is more interested in jollys abroad, taxing us to death and on death, and reeves increasing tax on our so called wealthy with a potential mansion tax and even encouraging labour MPs to celebrate. Dispicable really. Most will be elderly living in family houses.

Country will have no businesses left due to NI hike at last budget. We are already seeing an increase in unemployment. And now, more market uncertainity, caused by the next budget.

Its not just AI then causing negative sentiment, but our government which continues to disappoint.

Good point Nepal and I would agree. There will be a get out clause no doubt but very underhanded deal in my view. Emirates must be prepared to wait as both aircraft and engines still in development stages.

Just a thought. Clarke played a blinder. Stringing Airbus along and then getting his concessions with Boeing.

Down 6% before we lost out. Its a worry. Keep hoping we will see some improvement. No orders thus far. Are the serious shortages of rare earth minerals starting to come into play? I thought at least RR would recover before this awful budget as I can see another fall. 😔

Pity this board has become a platform for all the wrong reasons. Not a fan of the other platform but at the moment there is more technical analysis and discussion leading up to the MRE. Hope we see a change after the release of the MRE.
