....you might want to be reminded that the RNS of 22nd June, this time with Aptamer Group, said basically the same thing:

"A pilot batch of the aptamers will be tested on Integumen's SARS-CoV-2 model virus. Once initial testing is complete in two months, validation on the real SARS-CoV-2 virus will be carried out at the containment level 3 ("CL3") laboratory in the University of Aberdeen."

Both these show that SKIN are trialing Aptamers and Affirmers for Microtox NS. In the AVCT situation: "Affimers into Integumen's sensors which will initially be integrated and retrofitted into Modern Water plc's Microtox water contamination system units to detect the coronavirus. The Microtox system, which can detect the presence of contaminating bacteria, virus and toxins but not yet identify them, is distributed by Modern Water and has a global footprint of over 3,000 installations."

For the Aptamer situation: "Integumen and the Aptamer Group will enter into a longer-term supply agreement, with Integumen manufacturing and commercialising real-time pathogenic virus and bacteria detection devices through its production, sales, marketing and distribution channel partners around the world."

So I think the Aberdeen testing won't start till around now "two months", we have no indication of how long it will take, but when it does happen, one/other or both of these innovations may well have significant traction. IMO, DYOR etc, but the above "" are just out of the respective RNSs.

Fabulous discussion re CGT, a problem I hope to have in due course... Two questions i) the CGT liability relates to a realised gain (over your threshold) once you've sold the share, i.e. taken it to cash, even if it's still in your brokerage account and not your bank account, it's still liable, right? And ii), what if you sell a share which takes your gains over CGT limit, but this is immediately reinvested into another share i.e. not cash? Surely it is simply the tax year net realised position, as cash, that is liable for CGT?

I agree with what you say esp re dim view from the FCA, especially under the Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SMCR) then others persons that exert control (e.g. a holding company CEO) become materially relevant and cannot be ignored behind a convenient and very porous Chinese wall.
