@mart, this sounds like one of the odd ball tests e.g. DRVG's gadget with a cartridge, or maybe it's more like BRH's fluorecence thingy. Then there was that widget iAbra launched called Virolens. All bonkers, IMHO.

Re Tender delay, and the theory that this is all being lined up for a monster announcement. I think there is something in this item, being the Proof of Concept awarded to BBI for their Novarum optical reader for LFD Antigens. https://bidstats.uk/tenders/2020/W50/740622567. Published 10th Dec, but it seems the PoC is already complete (at least that's the case if the original November dates were stuck to). So, someone is digesting the results of that, and considering how/if a home LFD antigen test might be rolled out. There is no point in having a test if Jo Public can just say "oh yeah I did the nose/spit thing, and I'me negative, honest guv.". Apologies if this subject has been done to death.

@DOH and Ben - exactly. It's not just AVCT people, either. The likes of GDR took a hefty fall on Monday 9th Nov (Pfizer day) and have not recovered.

@Cheezy/anyone - re the PoC award re Novarum DX (now a wholly owned part of BBI Solutions), this is dated early November. I thought I had heard about it before so wondering why you are mentioning it today? I note it was only published 10th Dec, redacted, and that the delivery period is now in the past. I guess someone at DHSC is evaluating the results.

@antelope/highanddry - fair points. As a relative latecomer here, and having seen the rises IES has done this year already, I'm trying to figure if I'm too late to join up and if anyone has done any semi-formal projections - reliable or not!! Seems to me that IES still has mileage as a long term hold for the duration of 2021 or longer, surely the only way for VFBs is up.

What do you think MM's do early on? Anyone know if they visit non-news LSE bulletin boards, figure that the PIs have lost their marbles, and therefore decide it's time to open the prices low. I'm sure they do. There is nothing to be gained from being negative.
