RE: RNS2 Oct 2024 11:21
Morning all!
So, I’ve been on the move for a couple of days and thought I would let the dust settle after what can only be described as "Wacky Monday!!" Just a few observations I had. If you take a peek at the historical volumes for September (ignoring Monday 30 Sept, the average September trading volume, (I’m lazy, so I just asked Catbert’s homie, ChatGPT) sits around 15.6 million shares. This link has the trading volumes..........

On Monday, trading volume hit a 51.5 million! That’s a 36 million share difference on the Sept daily average. Now, I know a few folks are pointing fingers at Lanstead (and, they could be right), but based on their admittedly limited RNS output, it seems like they’re sticking to their well-practiced playbook of about 2 million shares per day. I mean, they’re pretty much on the dot in this 24-month selling cycle, ALMOST as accurate as a Rolex Delboy & Rodney would sell you!!.
So my hunch: someone might’ve just dumped their entire stash, probably 20-25 million shares, then Lanstead tossed in their daily 2 million, and the rest? Pure market movement some more sells and buys!!
Honestly, people sell for all sorts of reasons. For me? Monday was just another day in the market. I was almost happy to see the volume but would have preferred lots of buys. Plus we didn’t get some Nuclear RNS; in fact, it was quite the opposite! What's not to like about the RNS on Monday??
But, you know how it goes—good news often gets sold into. For the LTHs, there was a lot to love in Monday’s RNS. The leadership at ORR, including Tim, the former CEO, have always been super excited about the potential Mbe, can bring. That hasn't changed. Now we have plans to step into the field and get an extensive drill program moving with our partners BCM, who were keen enough to join with ORR in Dec / Jan this year after doing their own research too. 🥳
There is still work to do but I believe if the team can get the Bibimi exploration license done and dusted and turn that resource into shifting some pay dirt then this would prove the concept that commercial mining is a go in Cameroon. This would in turn would likely add value to all the other licenses ORR has in the 'roon including Mbe.
Just last week the ORR CEO was snapped in Cameroon, looking a bit like The Man from Del Monte (okay, maybe that’s a bit of an exaggeration, but you get the gist).
But just like this old ad from the 90s https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F9IxMtVnhR8
This is why I have put my chips on the ORR team—they know gold, and the results from the ground seem to be backing things up more and more. They have also put some of their own money into this project too, skin in the game should never be underestimated. So instead of golden orange juice, let’s get bullish about real gold (the kind you can actually mine)!
