I don't think that, I reckon the budgets were agreed with MD Anderson when it was announced; per the latest RNS isn't the trial commencement waiting on the expected MD Anderson's IRB's review and approval of the amendment to the trial protocol to include a subset of ALL and maybe some final logistics from Prevail and then the selection of the first patient, which I guess they could be working on in parallel.

At the meeting end of June prior to the AGM Vlad advised:

- a second site had been added, and that that site had approached Hemo, to be involved in the trial

- the second site had indicated that they would be able to provide all the candidates needed for the Phase 1 trial in a six month period; however the FDA would not allow the trial to proceed at that rate. - it would be one at a time, roughly 28 days apart unless anything untoward happens.

So no concerns about sufficient supply of candidates with only one trial centre, that we now know to be MD Anderson.

A new chapter of this epic is about to start.

BHI - I thought it might be the other way around:

Interested Pharma requires and pushed for the trial to be carried out at MD Anderson, hence the interception by MD A;

and further Interested Pharma willing to provide funding assistance for it to be done at MD A).

Further progress on CBR and CDX shows clearly that they haven't had any concerns about funding for some time, or they would have cut-back on those product developments (as they intimated in the year end report they would do if they needed to and just focus on HEMO CAR-T). Or they have been getting support from somewhere for that additional work.

It's not going to be too much longer to find out how the Company's expansion will be funded; nor how HEMO CAR-T performs in trials.

Don't forget that just after the half-year report is due out:

Hemogenyx will be presenting next week on their CBR platform:

Oct 1 - 3 at the 6th Macrophage-Directed Therapies Summit - where the presentation will feature the use of CBR for treatment of rare cancers.

So perhaps CBR news that they intend to share there will be announced with or shortly after the half-year report.

I though that may have been one of the factors behind Globalco's decision not to take CDX in April 2021; as HEMO CAR-T (a potentially better treatment option for AML) was then on the radar.

CDX may currently be angling more towards bone marrow conditioning for broader application prior to BMT.

They have previously indicated that they were developing a 'suite of products'.

I invested for CDX's potential to treat AML, so it's great to see CDX and HEMO CAR-T both still very much in play. The updated website stated 2025 - 2026 for Phase 1 trials on IND.

AML is on average pretty much a < two-year death sentence with increasing frequency of blood transfusions - awful.

So I am quite sure that they will have indication of whether it is working or not from patient 1's blood readings within a few weeks (even days) of dosing the first patient; and as Vlad said at the time of the AGM the safety results from the first patient will take one month, and I hope that allows them to move onto patient 2, meanwhile efficacy results will hopefully be building up from patient 1.

....and (iii) conditioning for bone marrow transplant (aimed at reducing or eliminating the need for chemotherapy).

In the pitch, Bait Biotechnology was referred to as a spin out company for CBR. Since then there have been no further details (that I am aware of) on Bait Biotechnology to know if that is still part of the plan, there was no mention of it in the 2023 Annual Report or in the PBSE to the annual report.

We are a year on from that. During that time we know testing was being carried out in a government related BSL-3 laboratory.

Hemogenyx will be presenting on their CBR platform at two forthcoming conferences:

Oct 1 - 3 at the 6th Macrophage-Directed Therapies Summit - where the presentation will feature the use of CBR for treatment of rare cancers.

Dec 2 - 5 at the 2024 Chemical and Biological Defence Science & Technology (CBD S&T) Conference - where the presentation will feature the use of CBR for combatting viral infections - on which Vlad commented that it will "provide the Company with an opportunity to further establish its unique position in the rapidly evolving field of biodefense".

In addition, there is HEMO CAR-T in the process of going into clinical trials with MD Anderson Cancer Centre (awaiting selection and treatment of the very first patient) and then UPenn.

And don't forget the recent announcement of a new and improved version of HEMO's bispecific antibody, CDX, for potential use against (i) AML, (ii) a sub-set of ALL and (iii) conditioning for bone marrow tr

JHFH, I noticed that some person(s) had taken short positions yesterday.

2% of shareholders and between 50 and 250 shareholders so between 1 and 5 investors with short positions.

The size of those positions is unknown (it doesn't necessarily mean that it's 2% of positions at that broker) it could be very small, or I guess it could be a 'covered' short of the person has more than one account.

But interestingly I think this is how things started to develop back in Jan/Feb though, a couple of % to start with rising to 8% or so as it got nearer to the 2p placing.

Is it games being played or persons with knowledge?

Bearley, yesterday, later in the day, BriaCell announced a placing back at $0.69 (pretty much where it was before the news and rise). So what I saw was the price plummet again back down to $0.65 (having reached a high of over $2.00). So if the chosen placees could forward sell they made an immediate no risk gain. It was reported as priced-at-the-market in accordance with Nasdaq rules.

Seems very similar to what Hemo did when price spiked to over 6p in February and the fund raise followed at just 2p to bring it back down. Interesting.

On further investigation two bits of positive news released by Briacell - they are just not recorded by the UK broker (yet anyway).

Interesting what's happening to Briacell Therapeutics today (it's also in the Prevail stable) - up 140% on .... no news! and after a share price trajectory similar to Hemo's after Prevail got involved.

Disclosing MD Anderson Centre's commitment to the trial would be a very persuasive nudge when seeking to finalise commitment to funding from institutional/new investors. Did they do that, and hence the need to issue yesterday's RNS to everyone?

Maybe some news will come at the time of the half year report - due by Monday 30 September.

Elina advised that she had been undertaking further work on CDX in last summer's 2023 update video; and, whilst I understand some things on the website remain out of date and incorrect, when it was updated they stated the following new information with regard to CDX:

"CDX bi-specific antibody for the treatment of relapsed/refractory. AML and conditioning of bone marrow transplantation. Phase I is projected to start in 2025-2026."

An AML sufferer facing what is currently a death sentence would surely disagree with the statement that 'proof of efficacy is of no value'.

The poor patients that have to suffer AML, for their last 18 months (approx) that it takes, should be at the centre of our thoughts.

Based in Maryland, he has had connections to NIAID and also Fort Detrick (that I have posted about previously).

Hemo, seems to be known about in the right circles.
