So, as was considered here about a year ago, are we finally potentially getting back to a PIPE funding round led by Prevail and MDA perhaps.

If so, at what price, that is the unknown?

Exactly - no real change, for shareholders - but the promise/potential of new institutional investors to join us with some dilution no doubt - but further scientific progress hopefully leading to greater long-term value. Wish I had been able to take advantage of the dip.

Having said that he seems to use the term 'institutional investor' loosely as the recent 1p raise was supposedly to an institutional investor.

I am thinking that this is exactly what Prevail instigated at Briacell; similar consolidation and deferred shares mechanism anyway.

Do not sell your shares in the Golden Goose; unless you have to, then sell only those that you need to.

I'm not sure that the next news will be within 7 days, but I'm thinking that there has probably been a bit of a clear out for when it does come:

(i) long cfd's, that require hedging by the counterparty broker, taken out in expectation of positive news a few weeks ago would have been hit hard by the recent drop and possibly wiped out/closed since, then

(ii) short positions were given the raise, enabling them to close - clearly the shorters don't expect it to go lower (and there's no pressure from them now).

so what's left - oh, real shareholders. Let the fountain flow!

Does this also de-risk the possibility of taking it private.

add this info to future plans for 2025 trial extension and the work already underwritten from that, the £5m-£6m needed for P1 trial and all contracts being signed suggests that there is other funding, or underwriting of the remaining trials costs coming from someone else (eg MDA) for HEMO CAR-T.

with CBR for viruses they'll be looking towards funding from government agencies, after being invited to speak at the conference at start of December.

- all that said though, isn't there a regulatory body that would investigate the pattern of issuing of shares at vastly fluctuating prices over a relatively short period of time, and with SP Angel issuing a broker update valuing at 6.3p per share in May - I presume ABC laws apply to listed companies and those that engage with them.

well observed, no funding announcement at 8am today; i'm happy with that - of course it could mean that funding is not sorted - but even Pumpky would appear to think it is; so if they aren't disclosing yet - suggests to me that it is subject to an NDA or certain conditions precedent that still need to be fulfilled eg the IRB decision and maybe the site visit.

This week's statement on funding, as for the past few weeks, has been that there has been no need to make a statement on funding; that to me has been a pretty big statement.

Oh, and they did actually state that 'budgetary preparations are complete' in respect of the commencememnt of the Phase 1 clinical trial.

.....meanwhile, CDX, CBR for cancers and CBR for viral infections are all quietly ticking along in the background...

I am thinking this price movement exerts pressure on any long CFD positions, and if forced to close potentially enables any shares held as a hedge against the CFD to be released to enable shorts to be closed? I assume brokers seek to limit exposure - and presumably there are other ways of doing that too.

Is there some way of finding out the levels of open CFD positions.

Any thoughts anyone.

well, from recollection the broker note that sp angel issued dated 21 may 2024, just a few months after they acted as joint broker for the placing at 2p in february, indicated an implied company value on a fully diluted basis equivalent to 6.3p per share. that was after applying a 20% risk adjustment discount because the clinical trial had not yet started.

grossing that back up gives a value of just under 8p.

of course things have moved on since then too, with the development of the assay to help identify the right candidates for the aml trial; and the involvement of md anderson and potential extension to paediatric indications.

So "their developement" includes CDX and CBR and maybe other things, not just HEMO CAR-T.

Don't forget the broker note issued by SP Angel in May 24, which valued the company after a 20% discount at approximately 6.3p per share; that was a little over two months after SP Angel had been the broker through which the fund raise was done at just 2p.

That broker note can still be obtained on the SP Angel website - but strangely it never made it onto the latest broker notes on the HEMO website - I wonder why not?

Well they've been touting for investment in CBR for over a year now.

For almost a year the 'Bait Biotechnology' website has been 'coming soon', (so bear that in mind when tehy say trials are starting soon.

So why not spin that off, at a premium, whilst retaining a majority investment. Wouldn't that raise cash, at least for further development/progression of CBR?

The only way to get exposure to CBR thereafter will be through shares in Hemo - sounds like a plan.

It was a bit disappointing not to have received an any real news update on CBR for cancer testing results this week, given that Vlad was presenting at the Macrophage-Directed Therapies Summit in Boston earlier this week.

A couple of years ago I thought they might already be invested in Hemo - maybe that's a contributory factor to their financing issues!

Was just about to post the same - I guess the Samaritans can rest easy too.

Well maybe there was a specific 'timing' to this RNS. It wouldn't necessarily look good subsequently issuing shares at the price stated in the RNS if the actual share price was suddenly higher.

And wasn't there an SP Angel broker note in May 2024 (that was never put on the Hemo website) that valued Hemo, with 20% reduction for trials not having started yet, at 6.3p per share (on a fully diluted basis).

.....and meanwhile Vlad will be preparing for day 2 of the macrophage-directed therapies conference in Boston at which the Company are presenting their work on CBR for cancers. Today's announcement is a nicely timed promotion.
