RE: Why I am invested in ALGW.20 Mar 2020 15:33
Giles thank you for remembering and taking the time to give a response that you gave elsewhere......that does not matter because I am going to do similar in that I am reviewing and adding to an earlier post in the week. I have been out for 4 or 5 hours and its nice to come back to a double digit rise.
It was pleasing to see a housekeeping RNS and more pleasing to see a TR1 based on buying....well done Giles
The first news via GS ! I will continue to maintain, is the start of more fruitful news moving into next week .
He will be the man, as company PR, to decide the most opportune time and we are still sat in the mid March weeks.
The "now" has to have leeway because of current investor sentiments in the market and the possible loss of impact.
The cheap price of Algw is still very much an ideal buy in price or top up price.
And as Johnny1949, as previously posted the RCF will legitimise the business and its model of 4 strategies and not just BOAGF. $AUM of 25 -50 m would sit very nice as well, at this stage
The Vox article of this week was a first sign of movement from the BOD and we are told that there will be more to come before the end of the month. Pivotal news, before the podcast, would be an extremely good talking point and make the interview sit nicely with the Private Investor.
With do debt restructuring to worry about like many oil companies I am sure GS is priming up for a bumper RNS which could possibly include
a staged approach to the RCF being insisted upon by the "named" lender ( and even more so in these volatile times)
news on the marketing strategies and their progress
news on actual $AUM secured (maybe $25-$50m)
news on a highly reputable "this side of the Atlantic" director as a replacement for the losses to the BOD ( which is very thin and US situated)
more news re Tr1's (beyond Giles)
news on specific strategies particularly BOAGF and seemingly forgotten The Hybrid Fund
Optimism has resurfaced and increased after many many days of drops
Your time is here GS and its "mid March"
Whilst we may have spoken about the relative strengths of each one, nevertheless, they all remain a possibility.
I suppose the one I have missed out is the potential of the concept, which utilises the experience qualities of small team. Danny Swick, who we have heard little of lately, has reputation and ability to pull together with Jason Sutherland the necessary assets to be under Alpha Growth's management and care.
The non-correlated returns of 10-15% must be so attractive to institutional investors , particularly in volatile times like are upon us now.
