Just thought I'd say good morning, Yes it' is a bit quiet. The builders have continued their upward trend since the election... and here we are today on 08Jul 2015 with the Chancellor about to announce a summer budget at around mid day. Good luck to all holders.

Galliford Try JV wins £560m deal with Scottish Water. Housebuilding company Galliford Try has been appointed as preferred bidder by Scottish Water for its non-infrastructure Quality and Standards IV framework. The contract is expected to be worth approximately £560m to the joint-venture and will run for six years.

Am invested in 9 of the house builders as they have been very good to me for the last few years, particularly at this sweet time of the year. Funnily, TW. are doing exactly the same thing with their Special Divi but their date is 02Apr 2015...talk about cutting it fine ! All the best.

At last, Fri, Mon, (and Tue) each day increasingly higher closing prices and ALL ABOVE 60p. Value and growth have been spotted, and now we're moving in the right direction. Has hit 65p, currently 64p mid. EXCELLENT, roll on Friday for the Interims

Love the 800p, I'm in at 1094p (Oct 2013)....as regards the General Election, I can't see what ever party gets in that we would have anything more than a wobble. It's generally accepted there's a shortage in housing, more houses have to be built and to further assist the process,planning and consent have also to be 'stream lined'. So whether the Tories remain or 'red Ed' gets in, can you imagine a Party announcing anything negative against house building, infact the process of stream lining the planning and consent element will continue. I will be watching for any dips around 15May for the same reasons as yourself. All good things.

I'm into several of the house builders. Yesterday, Bovis gave excellent results including a 159% increase in the divi. However, the share price behaved in much the same way as PSN this morning. It was thought that Bovis Finals received a lukewarm reception and closed lower because those excellent results were EXPECTED. So the earth didn't move, nor did the sky light up with fireworks. In my view it was just the psychology of our minds, nothing more. The 95p payout applies to those on the share register by 6pm Thur 19Mar 2015. The payment date is Thur 02Apr 2015. XD date is seldom mentioned at this stage but announced later. The XD date is usually a couple of days before the registration date, but that doesn't quite work as it would mean XD 17march BUT that's a Tuesday.....so best we wait for the announcement. This probably hasn't helped in the least, but there you go ! GOOD LUCK ALL INVESTED HERE
