As long as we are on subject of wsbn ‘here’ the further funds raised before assays are reported, is a bit of a red flag. Essentially for more reconnaissance work/drilling. No mention of an ore body or delineation. And certainly not toward any firm wider objective, such as an internal company estimate (non JORC) resource.

Don’t be expecting release of initial assays now and before anyone says they cannot hold back assays, oh yes they can if they are part of a wider exploration phase.

Just be cautious and fully understand what you are buying into from now

Thanks for replying Bamps, I only ask out of curiosity as typically when transitioning into a more complex ore phase it can sometimes produce some real difficulties, particularly so if it has not been fully scoped or technically and financially modelled.

As exposure to those kind of risks for smaller scale miners particularly, are not taken lightly. It shows how Greatland have mitigated against those very present risks when as a junior, by taking over an existing mining complex with its very well known and understood geology and metallurgy who can effectively just dig it up and sort it out at surface without any real cause for concern, as it can as a large scale operator with processing capabilities now.

Something smaller scale ‘new mine” operators have to deal with head on, to work out how far the transitional ore is going to report to current processing set up before they need a new costly sulphide plant.

Have a question Bamps on the transitional ore. Curious as to how these grades are dealt with, will there be a cut off grade reached that determine when the lower grades report to one side of ROM pad and the higher grades report to another side? Is it as simple as this or do the transitional ores at Telfer have to be dealt with differently?

Will be good to see what influence Havieron AISC will have on reducing Telfer’s sustainng costs when upon revenue generation, as Hav will carry all ‘fixed’ costs for the group stated in the Greatland base case. These group fixed costs are expenses that basically do not change with the level of production or output. One of the biggest expenses are salaries for the 1000+ permanent staff, which includes management, engineers, and administrative personnel, all insurance premiums for equipment, facilities, and liability coverage, admin costs for all office based overheads that includes with that, utilities such as power and water that are ‘not’ directly tied to the production side of the business. All costs related to meeting environmental and safety regs, including permits, compliance audits and tenement fees. The western oz government impose tax levies on the land and facilities that are owned by the company which also come under fixed costs all currently carried by Telfer.

Must make a difference to reducing Telfer AISC as well as through mining the UG higher grade ores when they come into the mine plan.

I doubt this cost structure will change with release of the DFS as that will be looking to essentially improve on the base case, not see it being negatively impacted on its release.

People in early at WSBN would have done really well for sure, people in later maybe not so. But their rise is based on a clear and obvious agenda by the company almost through desperation and certainly not through actual drilling results.

It’s what can happen with sentiment on your side and the hope of an early particularly where a buy out is constantly hinted at which we all know about too well here.

It does go to show if you can be flavour of the month, how fast it can turn.

Pick a moment in time and you can show amazing increase rates just about anywhere. I’m just warning people, red setter has not even been assayed yet!

WSBN red setter is being heavily ramped due to the project close proximity to Telfer. Everyone seems to think that Greatland will be interested in a buy out which couldn’t be any further from reality. They are desperately seeking a buyout which is not going to happen!

There is nothing exciting about red setter that would make it economic due to its depth. Stay away if you don’t appreciate volatility and ultimately disappointment.

Pre concentrating Hav ore was not mentioned, but there will be an ore sorter to reduce waste factions and be utilised to separate the low and high grades to improve blending strategies.

And I don’t mean blending with Telfer ore 😉

Was referring to just the externally sourced ores to be clear, as a preferred solution to a potential overabundance of supply feed from satellite mines against the cost implications of Greatland building a new plant.

Greatland will be in the driving seat to essentially pick and choose these toll opportunities, but based on suitability.

On a third train at Telfer, this was discussed elsewhere with a Telfer employee/ex employee who gave this (non expert view) which is worth sharing.

- I really don’t think a third train would be viable. My thoughts are that Greatland seemed pleasantly surprised they are able to project enough life out of Telfer to keep the mills fed until Haveiron’s ore becomes available.

To build another train.., well I can’t see how that could be ‘tacked on’ to the existing set up. It can’t go immediately adjacent, you need to get a 300t crane on both sides of the existing mill building for maintenance- and fairly regularly. It’s difficult to appreciate the sheer scale of the mill building, the ball mills are bigger than most site’s SAGs, and while I appreciate you wouldn’t need the same scale for another train, you’d need a whole building with a feed conveyor, a SAG, screens, cyclone feed pumping arrangement, cyclones and gravity circuit, ball mills, screens and flash floatation, and somehow get the concentrate to the existing gold room. And that’s just the mills, then you have the floatation circuit all the way down to the copper press, and the waste from the SAG.

Just one logistical example - they can barely house enough folks for shutdowns as it is, let alone accommodate huge construction crews on top of this.

The economic viability of a stand-alone plant for Havieron can not even be guaranteed full stop. Certainly not so under its currently defined JORC resource. It will not happen!

But any external ore that are bought in on a toll basis would need to be pre-concentrated on site before arriving to reduce the bulk of material being hauled and handled. Not all ore types would be suitable for processing as these would need to be amenable to utilise the spare capacity of the Havieron train 1 at Telfer which will be used on a campaign basis for any externally sourced ore, so it will be a highly selective process to begin with.

Pre-concentrating can reduce volumes of ore down to as little as 10% of the original mass and increase the grade concentration.

The viability of using pre concentration methods will be far more relevant toward increasing yield from increasing supply through hub and spoke model than to consider additional capacity.
