Hi lucky, a smaller scale plant is being delivered to fast track mining to take advantage of current high metal prices and without a feasibility study, this will help pay for a wider exploration programme being carried out concurrently toward resource definition, mine plan delineation, resource conversion etc to establish scale and economics of a much larger plant that cb had said will probably happen.

Now this is not going to be happening for some time as will take at least a couple of seasons drilling to establish a resource and advance studies etc, maybe sooner/longer.

As for raising funds, why would it be such an issue if it meant a viable larger operation overall could be established?

You could always open a Shard Capital broker account and participate in your preemptive rights, granted to existing shareholders to maintain proportional ownership in a company when new shares are issued.

Are you very sentimental about xtract mc1? I cannot see any other reason why you would be invested here/still.

You think the board are inept at delivering.

You don’t have trust in the board.

You have really got to ask yourself if you should cut your losses before the company decide to build a bigger processing plant. Plus on the subject of your Cooperlemon confusion.

Xtract has just met the $500,000 threshold to earn 51% and has the option to reach 70% by spending another $1 million over two years.

Building a processing plant will blow through that $1 million pretty quickly. Even a modest oxide processing plant could require $5-15 million in capital expenditure. This means additional fundraising (which Bird explicitly mentioned) and likely means the joint venture partners need to make some decisions:

Does Cooperlemon participate and maintain their interest?

Do the partners bring in additional strategic investors?

Does the funding come through equity dilution, debt, or streaming agreements?

These questions matter because they’ll determine who owns what percentage of the eventual cash flows.—Archer.

There was an intersecting comment made in the Kendrick podcast that, to put a for sale sign on an asset, would devalue it.

Taking away anything from that podcast was reference to Rick Rule that has always said that the metals move first, then the majors, then the mid tiers then the juniors who move last and move the furthest!

But naturally only the ones that have quality assets on their books. That’s pretty much across the whole cb stable of companies with in my opinion, particularly so for BZT and XTR who will both be trading at a higher premium with their potential to be generating significant cash flow within 12-18months after plant commissionings.

Hi jez/Ben i don’t want to dwell on past ifs and buts any more, we are all still invested whatever our situations to remain are. Me personally, as for BR, I said in ‘21 and numerous times since, its success was never going to be about how much it would be sold for, but whether or not it will be sold. With its jurisdictional advantage and cheap bulk mining method and now a seemingly viable route to commercialise it through optimisation, I am more confident now it will be sold as I have been in the past , it is taking longer than anyone expected. Why is that?

Well apart from the extra optimisation study work that is necessary and totally normal, regardless of defining grade and tonnage. (They were always going to push BR as far up the value curve as possible. ) The economic climate was already in free fall, juniors were ‘all’ being hit hard. Look back, the discovery of a new, more gold concentrated porphyry in Ascot quickly saw any share price gains continue to fall, as well as on news of some amazing Ascot grades, commissioning and ramp up of Fairbride plant did nothing for the share price. The full burden cannot be placed on BR and CB’s 10p it’s a big’un Zak and all that as to why the share price is down.

I clearly remember the day in a podcast cb said he, “had to give up worrying about the share price” F.. me he tried hard to keep it up that cannot be denied. There wasn’t much else he could do but go into care and maintenance while the whole market was in free fall but certain investors seem to be the ones that are living in a cb ‘bubble,” in complete denial their investment has been affected in any other way other than through the actions of one man.

Mc’s post is a fair reflection no doubt on theirs and at least 13 and counting, others feelings on how the company has performed to date. We are all here to make money for our future and our children’s future after all. So the share price is the ultimate gauge of which I am as disappointed as any. But those same 13+1 are in apparently in agreement with the last sentence-

Hi Kwadoku I stand by my ‘overview’.

You must by now be well aware of the very low success rate of seeing projects actually get monetised whether it be through equity funding, JV or aquisition, whatever.

Most AIM juniors have to pin all their hopes on only one project, the CB stable combined have built up a really diverse quality portfolio that vary in size, in different minerals and projects that are at varying stages in their evolution but also proximal. It’s taken years through scoping and early reconnaissance work following traditional lines of resource development.

The geological teams within each company have a really difficult task, their job is to essentially weed out the projects with least potential, eliminating them completely or parking them up to be returned to when treasury funds can be better allocated or market conditions are more favourable at a later date, so putting forward the ones with greatest potential to prioritise available funds with least risk burden of failure. Often seen as projects failing, management moving onto the next shiny thing. Yes, guilty!

Having such a diverse ‘quality’ portfolio now across companies that many can be linked together will hopefully benefit all the cb companies, H&G and Ongombo. Silverking and Kukuyu, Galileo sharing regions and now Kendrick joining the Zambia party. Yes projects have to carry their own economics but the overall cost structure ‘if’ toll processing is a viable processing route, creates a lower AISC to generate early cash flow and incorporate the ‘drill, build and expand’ model being incorporated with Hope and Gorob and XTr’s Silverking. It’s just the start of growing these assets and advancing others to feasibility or early cash flow generation likewise.

CB’s stratergy is a good one. It’s just the beginning of the next chapter to begin revenue generation , it will be worth the wait ‘26/‘27+ will be transformational.

Finding Minerals… Eventually.

Kwak/pops I see you ‘still’ don’t understand how junior explorers utilise the capital markets to fund their exploration and day to day operating costs. Throw in the global economic 5hitstorm post Covid that saw billions wiped off values of AIM companies and this is the reality if not understanding what you are buying into and owning your decisions.

Investing in juniors that have no other form of income is as risky as it gets in the most risky and volatile sector on AIM. Own your investment ffs man.

What a ridiculous thing to say just proves the point in not understanding what resource development work has been done to get H&G to its current position.

The company are clearly excited about Minturn, although these results are a precursor to a large IOCG system that through their next recon exploration through ‘26, will scope scale and hopefully confirm that high grade copper and gold ‘potential,’ being the real prize and project economic driver.

Across the portfolio I don’t think we have seen a duffer result as yet. Astonishing really.

If you think there is better value to be found elsewhere, sell up and go if you don’t like the way the company is run, managed or you don’t agree with the company strategy.

Hi E1, for sure this tech is still in its development stage being trialled currently at Escondida. But like any other technical advancements such as sensor based bulk ore sorting for example, they go through a period where there is not a recognised and established model across ‘all’ ore types and applications for any comparisons to be based on.

So metallurgy test work becomes a crucial component through ongoing studies starting with low level amenability through to proof of concept then onto more detailed study work following the traditional lines of exploration into feasibilty.

So with the long lead times that are typically involved toward final development stage, technology typically advances at a far greater pace so any risks would be largely mitigated against by the time one of these new projects gets commercialised.

Hey Doozer, for sure, the potential economic gains ipulse tech would bring to uneconomic large copper projects particularly, that are currently parked up. Could make the difference to see them now become economically viable with a lower break even if Friedland’s projection of 6 new tier one mines needing to come on line every year to feed demand are to be achieved.

What is important to remember, the declining ‘average’ copper grades now being mined are ‘not’ just solely due to depleting higher grades but also due in part to the advancements in processing technologies over just the last 30 years or so that have allowed lower grades to be exploited.

This tech is a massive step in technological advancement in the whole Copper ore beneficiation process that until now, after primary crushing, milling has been the area that has always been restrained both technologically through bottlenecking and economically due to being energy intensive. You could also include environmentally in regions where water abstraction is limiting.

Previously, significant advancements have only really been seen in all other areas upstream and downstream of the flowsheet.

A real game changer for what it will do for free cash flow margins of not only new world mines, but could also increase margins of existing long life mines.

But in the scale of things on the supply side, tech like this is still not going to be the answer to the copper deficit. That, can only be achieved through massive investment toward new discoveries and a shift in social acceptances of having these potentially now ‘cleaner’ mines on our doorsteps.
