Hole 33, which tested an anomoly to the east, intersected the 15.5g/t gold. Has this confirmed that there is a distinctive body of gold mineralisation within the bushranger system and is it a continuation of the gold found in hole 35 drilled to the west from the same pad? Or is porphry associated gold found in pockets, if so, then is the high grading likely to continue over extent of strike?
The plan was to do further drilling and more met testing to understand where the feeder zone originated, this is still an objective, along with also now, further investigation to test continuity of strike and dip on the high gold intersection just found.

This is suggestive already that Ascot will have greater influence in the projects overall economics with further exploration there.

If bushranger is not already economically viable, we obviously don’t know that just yet, then surely with good gold at a modest recoverable depth it potentially changes the whole dynamic of the financial modelling.

Really need to understand more as I can’t get why there is such a muted response from the company.

There’s also been some really good discussions on all matters Xtract, If you think of something, just put it out there and see what reaction you get, that’s what I tend to do, might not necessarily even be of your opinion, sometimes it kicks off really good debate with lots learnt. There are some really good posters here, it’s good to get different members different interpretations from interviews and on projects in general. I know I have learnt lots. If questions are asked they normally always get answered or an informed opinion shared which is really good. I’ll admit, Xtract has gotten under my skin, not ever has that happened before with other investments. They say, always diversify and never be sentimental about a stock.

Gone are the days when they came thick and fast followed by lots of banter on the BB. We had Colin’s lessons in understanding the make up of a porphry using comparisons to avocados, onions, the inclined cigar, a cathedral from someone else and Zak’s super yacht! Not forgetting Colin’s reference to a bear, or was it a pear? Did have a lot of fun listening to Colin’s alternative approach. Got almost embarrassing sometimes, often wondered what the hell have I invested my money in? Is this company a joke? But I actually miss it now and looking back, it just showed the confidence in what they knew they had back then that he could be so relaxed and have a joke. Hope the company can pull this off with an outright sale to a major. Colin did say he wanted to do this for the shareholders, so if it happens, to me, he will always forever be know as, Colin Bird - Occupation- Legend.

I would hope the 2mt does come from the ‘completion’ of the resource model for RC, we have had say, up to 5 plus weeks of potential RC southern extension drilling since completion of NSW Titles for pad permit approvals. That is of course if all were granted all at once after the 9 or so weeks and not granted individually and incremental. Which could have meant longer drilling.
Metallurgy results should be back so potentially if RC is closed off then new conceptual pit with financial modelling is on target. It is certainly possible.
Ascot is the unknown in what the intent is particularly now after finding that good trace of gold.
Very intrigued.

Andrew, I’ve always been an advocate of what you have suggested, an approach with the minimum 2mt to see what they want to do with it. It’s not only CB that has made this comment, Jeremy Reid first suggested it during the 1st webinar on the conceptual pit last year.
Can you recall a comment before Xmas time, suggesting they take a break to take stock to see what is best to do next. I can only recall fluidity in drilling up until now???? Is it a possibility that reference was pointed toward a break once the 2mt threshold was breached? It will no doubt be a very significant milestone in the project and the outcome of said ‘approach’ could potentially have a big impact on what direction or progression further exploration in terms of how to financially or geologically package Bushranger for selling when exploration continues thereafter.

So a short break in exploration whilst an approach is made would make sense, it ties in with insistent timescales set by CB, comments from Jeremy and Zak, drill location map even. And certainly as many of us here believe, Anglo may not be our likely suitors to take it on.
The mind boggles, all circumstantial? Or could there be some weight behind this notion?

I notice latest drill location map does not show any further holes in progress.
With Zak Mir ‘apparently’ quoting what Colin had told him previously that they will stop drilling in may with whatever they have.

Not sure if I dreamed that last one though! Anyone?

The recent batch of holes in no man’s land have ‘confirmed’ a definitive pit boundary then, along the south eastern side. Leaving just the southern extension still open ended along with a touch to drill up top to complete RC model. That surely is not a bad thing right? This suite of holes was essential in understanding the relationship between the two and has not taken anything away from what is already modelled.
If theiceberg analysis is correct in that a third porphry is evident at depth then that adds significantly to the economics and longevity of the life of mine. Also the heavy gold trace deserves and commands further investigation.

what a fickle market, well overdone that was yesterday. The poor lemmings! We can rule out that news blackout then, for now at least and one can hope we would see a continuation of other news.

Completely agree re Eureka deep drilling, the company are sitting on huge, huge potential.
Priority is cash flow from open pit and to extend, really cannot be long now, was blasting in September for bulk sampling and mine planning.
A reminder that should sooth the nerves from todays reaction.

If you take bushranger out the equation, with Fairbride, eureka, kalengwa all producing, adding to alluvials, that even makes current market cap look ridiculous.

Could very well be to update market on fairbride start up, there would not necessarily be any preceding RNS release. Significant enough for an interview poss Wednesday for mid week takeaway??

I refer to 3-5 weeks as Andy did mention at end of April when it was noticed there was a change it had been a couple or 3 weeks earlier the last time he had been on the portal.

I got the impression that Ascot could well factor in the ‘minimum’ 2mt threshold, to see what they wanted to do, or certainly just to trigger the buy back mechanism if either, there has been indication they are not going to take on the project or CB has his sights on other interested parties.
If Andmillsy is correct in his research returned from NSW Titles, that the pad applications were resolved on their portal around some time in April. It would realistically amount to 3-5 weeks of drilling up until now, from these new pads in the southern extension. Not forgetting there is still a hole or two to close off the North of RC.
Seems a realistic assumption to say the approach will be with a data pack of the 2mt as a full conceptual pit with the financial modelling to support a decision to mine will only be possible when RC is fully closed off, assays are back and all modelling is carried out.
That is of course if CB is going to stick to his aggressive timeframe of April/may or if goes over will be by a month and not quarters.

To me, at the moment it points to the former, at the end of the day, you can only make an assumption on what’s in front of you and with slim pickings recently is getting harder. But that NSW title for EL5574 is a fair indicator of where the project sits.

Yeah there was a suggestion when it was first mentioned that it was a slip of the tongue and maybe getting mixed up with with an asset from one of his other companies. But he’s repeated it a good few times now

With a suggestion from some shareholders, that a small placement could be on the cards to see the project to fruition. It just shows how the reliance on Fairbride income is more now, and has always been critical to eventual outcome of the company’s ability to fund exploration itself from production from other assets. The company were looking at some small JV’s in Zambia to contribute toward the drilling efforts in oz. Although never reported, or even remarked upon, Chongwe appears to be one of these new ventures. Taken on to ‘maybe’ cover some interim costs while they are waiting for that income from Fairbride to bolster the treasury.
No news as of yet, or any signs of any further ventures come be a good sign that there is confidence in Empress to bring the mine to full production.

Anyone checked website recently, for some promised pictures on this groundbreaking news? ;-)
