Scaramouched - Whilst I agree, to some extent, with your assertion that there is a sense of unease, I also think that your language is inappropriate, inaccurate and rather sensationalist. It wasn't a 'shocking' downgrade. The share price hasn't 'plummeted'. The fundamentals are strong (nothing has changed with regard to those) and the team are the same team who have transformed the company to what we are now - a company making millions a week with assets that could take us to the next level.

To extend your metaphor, perhaps it's time for you to swim to shore and not bob around in the water, worrying yourself when the next wave is coming?

Popeye. You need to accept that it’s only ‘disappointing’ for those who invested at the ASX IPO, expecting a quick buck. There are many (of us) who either invested well below that price, or who are in for the longer term who care not about the drop. Context is everything.

I agree, F, and I'll be looking out for any news that cites Paul and Klaus. As Rick Rule often says, the team are the key to the success of projects such as these. In fact, I think it was listening Rick Rule talk about Alphamin in November 2024 that got me looking at Rome.

Interesting to see some trades at and above 3.8 and not just a few pennies.

To deal with the debt problem in the 70s, the US government inflated the problem away when the purchasing power of the US $ decreased by 75% and we all know what happened to the gold price because of that.

The unknown trade of £10k at 8.18 is my purchase. I don't generally like to average up, having bought in at 1.1p in January, but I believe this has great potential. The team are smart and, as Rick Rule often says, it's the team he looks at first when considering investing. Everything they've done to date has impressed and they've delivered on their strategy.

I think you have to be careful with your language. 'More fool you' could easily be construed as being arrogant and/or insulting and ramping to many people. I'm no snowflake, but perhaps it's wise to understand that many people on here are not seasoned investors with a deep knowledge of how the city and markets work. We buy into a narrative and belief that a company may make us a decent return. I put myself in this category. I bought in at 5.9p (old money) having done some research and have obviously seen a decent (paper) return. It would be perfectly understandable why I would sell the lot now, having made a decent return, albeit far less than it would have been six weeks ago.

I do have to agree with JB. Whilst I'm fully invested (financially and in the narrative) and believe that GGP's future is extremely bright, there is a propensity for people of a similar mindset to post the same information about 'catalysts for a SP rise' or expected drill results etc. time and time again. I'm not sure who they're trying to convince that GGP is a good investment other than themselves. If they're in response to the 'naysayers' (as so often people who post anything but positive comments are called), then I understand why there is pushback from such people who challenge those beliefs. It becomes a war of words, often descends into childish insults and makes the board difficult to navigate to eek out the factual posts.

My intention is to attend one of Bamps'/Rotherby's meetings as I'd like to think that the atmosphere is a far cry from the tone of this board. As we all know, the 'keyboard warriors' seldom have the confidence to communicate with people face-to-face in the same way as they write.

SM -I always read, with great interest, what Bamps and a few others post and have learned some much from them. I, too, would love to attend one of the gatherings and will look out for one in the London/SE area soon. Do you know if anything is planned?

Ecobbledore. From what I've read on here, there is a belief that the SP is being manipulated on AIM. I've been invested in many companies listed on AIM and experienced both fabulous gains and horrible losses. That seems to be the way of this particular market. So many companies (C. 100?) have de-listed from it over the past year and there's a reason for that. Today's SP seems to be a classic example of this already and a continuation of what's happened since the ASX listing and the RNS lowering expectations of gold production and increased AISCs.

Unfortunately, Elcobbledore, you won't get a balanced view on here and all you can do is your own research, come to a conclusion and act accordingly. I've been invested for a while and continue to hold in the hope that the recent 30% drop will be rectified. My main reason for investing though, back in November 2024, was the Haveiron project.

I’m no geologist or metallurgist but that reads pretty positively to me. The continued drilling and analysis of what’s being found bodes well. Looking forward to reading about more results in September.

The team are doing a great job. No doubt we’ll hear from PB doing his round of interviews when he can simplify all of this for the likes of me!

I’m trying to recall who it was/where I first read about GGP back in early November 2024 when it was 5.6p (old money). My point is that I must have read it/listened to it and then invested. Nothing has materially changed since then and all I see is a medium to long term plan being executed. Yes, there’s been a blip, but I believe that’s all it is and will hold. There are many types of investors with as many reasons for investing. I’m the type who can hold for ‘more than a long weekend’ (thank Rick Rule for that reference), but I accept others have different agendas and expectations. Genuinely, good luck to everyone, whatever your circumstances. Please be kind to others and resist the temptation to be rude, judgmental and just accept we all have a right to an opinion. We just need to be mindful of how we express those opinions.
