want to indulge in a bit of TA this wet and windy saturday afternoon -----------You will all need a pen and paper and a chart of the DOW JONES since 1999----"Google finance .com " will do nicely ------ 1. Extend a line from the high of Jan. 2000 thru' the high of Oct 2007 to 2014 , this gives a level of 15900 ( this is where it has retraced to at Friday's close . 2. Extend a line from the high of 2010 thu' the high of 2011 onto 2014 , this gives a level of 16600( this is where it has retraced from to friday's close. 3. Conclusion --it could up or down (lol) ---No i jest !!------- This is an unusual pattern as we are left with an expanding triangle from the cross-over point !!- 4. extend a line from the low of 2009 thru' the low of 2010 and the low of 21011 to 2014 , this gives a level of 14500 ,being optimistic !! 5. The point is that if the DOW continues to fall now below 15900 back into the enclosed uptrending channel from 2009 then it could technically hit 14500 and yet STILL unbelievably be in a long-term uptrend ?????? The FTSE 100 and possibly FTSE 250 will "mirror " this drop , as always. You can see there is a significant pullback possible . Will this occur ?? -- Only your "god" in whatever form you individually percieve him/her/it to be will know for certain !!! ---Interesting times ahead ----Don't forget the simple old adage "what goes up can most certainly go down " and things have gone up for an aweful long time so far ????? ---There endith the Lesson ---Please forgive my musings ----As always just my VHO ---and GLA .

caught a beautiful bounce ,in @ 720 and then 750 a few days ago now-----More than made up for any losses today on everything ------------don't be too dispondent here -- most people today are scrambling to sell, lower stop- losses or "go short" in most everything , as the DOW has "tanked again " and as usual we are mirroring that .----------Some bargains to be had if you're careful -- perhaps even CAR. ------GLA.

Futures suggesting another "bleak " day over the pond ---A "sea " of red here now ,as we track the DOW yet again .------Fundamentals go out the window like a "baby with the bath water " ----Pity really ---------Never mind it's only money after all (lol)----------------GLA.

it's not much consolation , esp. if you've just bought back in but the SP turned down when it failed to hold the 23.6% retrace. marker @ 142. ( god knows why these fibonacci levels are adhered too , but it happens time and time again , so much so, in most shares that these levels are proggrammed into peoples brains and computer systems (lol) Does it make trading any easier ? Probably , but they can be a pain in the A-S never-the-less. ----I personally don't expect this to go back below that break-out 125 level ----But JMVHO --and GLA.

Morning everyone , hi Arsenal , after looking more closely at ESUR sp you may be prudent in your actions. ----Today it has retreated from res. @ 290/291---This level just happens to be the 61.8% retrace. level ( significant if you are into these things) ---- it just may take a little more effort to get past 290 again now.-----Technically if it does then 100% retrace to 315 is possible, although 305 is a small hurdle in the middle !!! ----( in clln already, good one) ---------------------DYOR as always all , but wish you GL.

480/482 is , historically , very strong res. ----it has done extremely well to "mark time " at present levels ---in 2008 between june and sept. the price fluctuated between 450 and 550 many times over ---current levels will, we know , almost certainly give way if the DOW and the FTSE drop ---- "marking time " at current levels will not continue for much longer , and if the movement is up from here ,then 500 is the initial target to overcome and hold ----JMVVHO all --------------GL .

SAN.L is a "preference share" --listed on the london stock exchange , you can deal in it on some platforms ie: Halifax share dealing or Beaufort Securities , but not Spread-betting platforms --- Its IPO is talked about in previous posts here . after its IPO it should be available to trade on all platforms and should appear here . ------GL.
