And hole 29 was an unplanned hole.
If you look at where they drilled, in the graph from the presentation, then they drilled hole 29 near hole 1. Hole 1 was drilled at an angle and they hit 1m at 4gt but it was drilled at - 50 degrees. Did they go back and drill straight down to test more depth. I don't know and am speculating, but they did end with hole 29 near to 1.
My interest lies in Senala as it's already had good results and is in an area of large finds. I think that they said that Senala would be drilled by the end of q2. That's only 5 weeks away.
Aren't they waiting for the us patent licence to clear. Maybe that will be when the ink dries.
I also have minor concerns that iamgold might spoil the party and drill in the poorest areas. But then I thought that it's a double edged sword as if they don't produce the results then the share price here might be too low and attract other suitors. As Senala looks like a good location. I now think, with Chesser's results, that iamgold know this and is why they've brought forward the drilling at Madina Bafe.
The interesting part of the news is that Madina Bafe drilling begins next month, which makes me assume that they're using more than one rig, which makes me wonder how many rigs they're using.
I'm guessing at rees as I'd expect the lab in cote d'ivoire to have the facilities to test for usual metals. Just my guess of course.
My guess is that the multi element testing will be into rare earth elements as there are a few research papers on rees in Cameroon.
The problem with rmm is that it is underground mining rather than open pit, as well as Canada and having to pay the miners appropriate wages.
Cameroon, and Senala, and Djibouti will be open pit. Less costly in areas where the standard wage is less too.
Ignore leathal, his call on rmm was a dog.
News not next
They also slipped in the next of multi element testing. I wonder what that's about. I also wonder what any hand held scanner would pick up.
Yeah it's ugly news, especially the cost of sales. However gas revenue alone was 8.2m, which given that the price of gas and oil has recovered, should double this year. Let's face it, the pandemic has been pretty brutal. And then there's the huge 10.7m write down. I think that they've thrown the kitchen sink in.
Some of the posters need to calm down. The jorc that I posted yesterday in relation to Senala shows that it has already hit great results and I strongly believe that the next results will be excellent. The only thing in the meantime is bibimi but we know that they've found gold and have hit quartz tourmaline and visible gold, it's now about quantity.
Exactly. Open pit.
I've absolutely no doubt that madina bafe is a goer. The jorc table shows that even the shallow drills have hit decent results.

Only 5p? ;)
Yep. But a question and answer session due in June. Any questions anyone?
Senala is on for 10000m in 92 holes, and possibly two 600m drills.
The only criticism I have with the bod is that they don't announce the start and end of drilling campaigns.
I've got a bit of cash ready for the results either way as Senala is a monster. 20m at 31g/t, very few get those results. The next drilling round they're going down to 400m with two of the holes and 200m with one hole.
