Messer has confirmed itself as the highest bidder for the two federal helium assets that were put up for auction by the General Services Administration (GSA) last month (25th January 2024).
Two assets were up for sale at the bidding event, one consisting of one billion standard cubic feet of helium.
The other asset up for grabs was made up of real property assets, including the Cliffside Gas Field Facility, a 423-mile-long crude helium pipeline, the Satanta, Kansas Maintenance Station, 800 million standard cubic feet of crude helium, 23 natural gas wells, plus the native natural gas and crude helium remaining in the Cliffside Field.
Gasworld understands that Messer was the only bidder for the first asset, offering $21m. The second lot of assets was bid for by both Messer and Lazarus Energy Holdings. Messer is thought to have placed a bid of $35,335,000, and Lazarus Energy Holdings placed a bid of $30,100,000.
Messer had already been operating the Crude Helium Enrichment Unit (CHEU), successfully delivering one billion standard feet of helium through a temporary agreement with the federal government in April 2022.

Did any of you actually read the RNS....?
The helium find is the motherload, the wire test is just rubber stamping.
Lorna is a very very experienced geologist, and the results so far prove this to be the find of the year!
Remember the price of helium is expected to raise 400% this year alone!

Fact is, the RNS already confirms the details that they have found the motherload, and as Lorna said they are just getting rubber stamp.
Considering they are expecting the price of Helium to increase 400% this year, whatever is found will just be worth more as each day passes.
The real money in this world will want this company, and this could be an easy takeover for £100m.
