Sorrell is 7 years old, if he gets a good offer then I can see him sell.
Looking at the market we are looking at dog fights for another 3-5 years, by which time he could have passed.
in terms of the big 6, yes this would be a great buy for £400m as a plug and play.
removes a rival plus gives them a nice ready baked client pipeline.
"Only a benfit if you don't have a presence surely. All the Big 6 already operate globally"
Looking at a lot of M&A currently are companies buying competitors due to lack of growth of the market.
So honestly I could see S4 being bought by on of the big 6 as a way to remove competition and take clients.
At this current price it seems like a very easy target.
All those acquisitions in 2023 seem good for market consolidation and having a more dominate hand.
As such, this company is now primed for a takeover, as the acquiring company would be buy chunks of the media landscape across multiple countries.
Looking at the pass week, most/all the buys have been S4 buy back.
and it appears that there has been some very aggressive tree shakes that have failed to drop the price.
As such, once S4 start to buy in larger chunks (as we are at floor), we will move north very fast to around 50 region with consolidation.
The company being 25% YoY, and only with all the new partners coming online looking at another 50% potential YoY for 2024, we are going to see some massive revenues and profits.
Everything is pointing to a strong increase in share price:
- Pre-Close Update on 16 Jan 2024 = "total income for the year ended 31 December 2023 will be approximately 25% above the prior year (2022: £109.4 million)."
- To this point in 2023, the Company has signed 74 new customers.
- Shorts still to close 1.59%, so expect some good buying from them.
- Regulatory licence application in The Netherlands, which will open up a substantial new sales channel across the EU;
- US representative office licence, which will enable sales to the very deep national and regional bank market.
- Significant technology upgrades, which would enable an expansion of the Company's capabilities and product set, substantially increasing commercial opportunities;
- Longer-term potential to become a US Dollar clearing institution, which could greatly increase volumes into emerging markets.
These are all actually buys, LSE is misreading the tape, the floor has been found:
