I thought the update was pretty good and long-term things look promising. However, that said I sold out today at just over £2.34 with a £20k+ profit - having bought at around £1.22. In fact I sold all my shares today because I'm concerned about the situation in Greece, Portugal, Ireland, Spain etc. Looking at the Dows performance I may have called it wrong, but I think I'll sit on the sidelines for a few weeks and keep my money safe.

I read somewhere - I think it was in one of the sunday papers - that advertising for TV had increased by 7% during April and was now back to 2008 levels, lets hope newspapers are doing as well! Hopefully we will get a positive update on thursday.

Thanks for the reply. It does look as if any drop off in business - if there is any - will be quickly followed by a pick up. Like you say HRG get paid from transaction fees, so could end up doing well out of this mess. I'm going to buy in shortly, but will continue to watch for now. Don't want to upset any holders, but I'm hoping for a entry price of mid to late 20's.

This is a share I've been watching for some time and nearly bought recently. However, as in most things when all appears to be looking up something throws a spanner in the works. I don't claim to have the knowledge of buller - who seems very clued up on this company - , but I wonder how badly this volcano will affect the SP. I suspect we could have a short sharp fall, which would give a good entry price. I would be interested in any views from people with more experiance in this sector.

Yesterday I was very close to having a punt on JRVS. I was impressed with the managements confidence about the future in their recent update in Feb. Thank god I decided to wait until monday so I could do a little more research over the weekend. Otherwise I think I may have set the world record for losing £10k. The management should be in jail for the misleading information they gave out.

It's not In the AIM, it's in the main market. However, it is a joke if you can't sell £600 worth of shares.

Because like for like sales have been improving by 3.9% so far this year and the analysts average estimate EPS is 5.1p giving an SP of 8.7 x earnings. I think that most followers of CC. think the earnings estimates are a little conservative and a decent Christmas would give them a boost. They are also paying back debt well ahead of schedule, not bad in these difficult times.

I'm out at loss - not too big as I knew it was a gamble. I didn't like the way the management talked about being anti-dilution and then a few months later - after talking up the SP - decided to issue hundreds of millions of new shares. I hope I'm wrong for those of you still holding, but I learnt long ago if you lose faith in the management get out - even if it means taking a hit. To people thinking of buying extra shares, be prepared to have your money tied up for a long time and the possibilty of further dilutions in a couple of years if not before.

I have also emailed PYM reference a date for their final results - I will let you know if I hear anything.

PYM's results are normally published at the end of Nov. Anyone know what date this years are due?

3.9% increase in like for like sales looks a decent performance in todays environment. The recovery for CC. seems to be well under way, all they need now is a decent Christmas.

PYM is not a AIM stock, so you can buy them in your ISA.

I don't honestly believe it will fall much more. I'm no expert in this field, but it looks to be a very reasonable punt. With cash of £5 million and the chance of being the first company to develope a drug which fights Parkinsons, which can be taken orally, it looks very promising. I wouldn't put it in my pension fund, but you should get a decent return, even if it's just on speculation. A market cap of less than £15 million looks way too small.

Charts and graphs don't show us anything for companies like PYM. It's all about whether their new drug is any good or not. One bit of news one way or the other and you can put all your graphs in the bin.

The trading update couldn't really be any better. As the year goes on the comparrison with last years figures will only get stronger. I hold 93,000 of these, bought at just under 22p and I have no intention of selling. One of the best recovery plays in the sector in my opinion.

Fair point. However, I would still rather be in than out at these prices. If - and it is a "if" at the moment - there are any more promising updates this share could easily go over a £! the day of the announcement. That said, I certainly wouldn't class it as a "safe" investment, but if you can afford to lose it's worth the punt.
