Just to re cap. I am not as seasoned an investor as some of the posters on here, but the recent history of the share price does not make for pleasant reading. The share price peaked at 67p in August 14, fell sharply and recovered to a high of 39p at the beginning of July 2015, from which point it has basically been in a continual decline. It has not been this low since October 2011. If ever there was a time when a company was most vulnerable to a take over, then surely this must be it. It seems that the only news that would push the share price back toward any sensible level would be if they started pumping diamonds out of the ground along with oil. Any small rise is immediately quoshed by a raft of sells, you could almost believe that someone wants to keep the price at these levels??

The average bounce back from a low price has been between 6 and 7 pence over the last year, so I would not be surprised to see this hit around 16.5 in the next couple of weeks or so. Its only where it should be anyway.

I can only assume by the constant selling on any small rise that someone is off loading shares, as not letting the price rise makes no sense at all, surely if they could have a little bit of patience they could sell for a whole lot more in the coming weeks. This should be at a 16 pence minimum now, it is so undervalued.

If Italy go ahead with their budget plans, it could bring the whole European house of cards crashing down. It will make Brexit look like a sideshow. Unfortunately British banks are indirectly exposed to the disaster that is the Italian banking system. Potentially stormy weather ahead. GLA.

Thankyou New 2LSE. For reminding us of our reality. It is too easy to look for scape goats when things look bad. If a Russian petro chemical company offered to buy AST for 4pence we would all be singing their praises. We are fickle, its human nature. At the end of the day as we are sometimes reminded of, no one forced any of us to invest, this is AIM, it is high risk with potential high reward. Sadly as we all know too well, AIM is littered with failures, but this is the nature of the beast

I remember watching a documentary a few years ago, the Russian gas fields are so vast that they estimated they could supply the whole of Eastern and Western Europe with gas for 40 years!!!. I really do not think the comparatively tiny bit under Slovenia is a threat to their bottom line

Are we sure we want to take as "red", information obtained about the progress of something so important to a company?? That an official from a Government dept would disclose this to an unknown party with no way of proving who he or she is or what the consequences of disclosing such info might be. I am extremely sceptical at times about the origin of such facts, as time and time again they have been proven to be false. I reserve judgement on this one. GLA

I was not expecting to see PI`s jumping ship this morning, not at this late stage, we really do need some positive news to bolster confidence and prevent another dip, a few nerves are clearly beginning to fret. So much good news to come, just a little put in the public domain could go a long way. GLA

Seldom have I seen such a blatant in your face manipulation of a share price. The 73 people are back at it again, clearly signalling a sell off or purchase spree.
