BT's finance officer bought a ton of shares in BT before they went down. Meaningless. Directors don't always get it right or know management's decisions before they buy. If the market sentiment isn't there this will go down and drift.

It went to a quid on news of a deal for other cinema chain. After that it tanked back down till next rumours of a takeover.

Which is why shouldn't gamble and put small amounts in to recovery plays especially when things are still uncertain, as part of a wider portfolio...

Other platforms never before had films released straight to them or the possibility in future of getting them within a few weeks not months of cinema releases...

Why not? Not seen other troubled shares gap massively? I wouldn't expect less than 20% drop as people who were short term trading pile out and some longer terms.

You'll never find a bottom but I f they believe it is going back to two or three quid then it doesn't matter if you wait until it is 50 or 60p on the way up when things are showing good signs as you'll still make a killing and make money with the money in the interim and avoid a lot of pain and volatility.

All those saying it t went up before... First it went up when it was looking like a deal to buy other cinemas... Then it went down. Then it went up on rumours of takeover... Then it went down. What news is there now good that will provide it with upward momentum before April at the earliest now? This will drift at best for months wasting opportunities to make money elsewhere - unless someone buys them out in the interim for a vastly reduced price.

As one investor who was very successful once said if you're going to invest in a turnaround wait for signs of a turnaround first. Could be a long painful winter yet for many shares, this is now probably top of the list with rolls royce unfortunately.

I agree dacorum. I sold out in the 50s taking a loss when it was obvious it was going to slide back into the 30s (and anyone who said they didn't see this coming, really - cases going up and government on about new lockdowns... as well as other governments around the world... o...k...) and this could be heading lower than in march now (made my losses back already in another share fortunately). Shame but the government have so totally mishandled this situation and ruined the country for a generation or two when this is all over. Mass job losses coming and then a nice tax bill at the end for everyone to pay for their madness.

Centamin is down because they will be producing about 17% less gold this year due to a safety issue with part of a mine. So sp slip isn't so bad considering. I am a share holder there at sub £1 levels and will keep for now until more info about whether it is a more permanent problem or not as it is still a dividend payer. Cant say whether it will recover slip further or drift though.

I'd invest in companies that you believe in and know about rather than trying to be clever and try and move in and out of shares just because a price moves. Perhaps listening to stuff by highly successful investor Peter Lynch on real investing and big money wins would help you.

Ahh the voodoo science that no real hugely successful investor uses.

I think most people are waiting to see if america passes a stimulus bill today. That is what turned things around yesterday, the hopes of one (and then on fears one wouldn't be passed caused america to lose ground at the end).

They change the holdings twice a year based on the index so I don't think they will be buying any dips lest they stop tracking the index.

Solactive recently removed a holding from the underlying index as it was taken over so they redistributed their share of the index among the others which might be why it has gone up.

No, I'm saying google are going by the reported trade after the closing price (or UT), which if you look at trades on here was a large transaction which then appears to be deleted. All my share apps have the price as 152.20.

Now as to what it opens at, it may go down, it may go up or it may go sideways. That is investing. But in the end when you've held the course and made 3 or 4 times your money then a few percent here or there is meaningless noise.

The journey ends at the end. Or death. Whichever comes sooner.

Buddy I bought in in February. I was down between 20 - 60% pretty much instantly. I'm now many hundred percent up... Have patience.

Because that is the closing price. Simple. After hours look like delayed reports and a huge reverse trade giving us the final price on Google
