Only thing with A J I have found is if a share drops massively in a minute or two it can never quote you a price but I guess that is true of a lot of dealers during highly volatile situations. But I guess for a pension you're in it for the long haul so a couple of percent here or there isn't the end of the world.

Oh and other thing, if you do go with A J Bell they are supposed to do all the work but I found I had to do a lot of the communicating between my old pension provider/employer and A J Bell... if they post stuff it takes them forever. just get them to give you an email to send stuff to as then you're in the loop as well. I think a large part of the problem was I was moving just as covid lockdowns started last year so I am sure they were just lost with who was where and doing what under a new system, so I don't hold it against them just be prepared to speed them up a bit if it dragging or it will drag on and on...

I use A J Bell you invest. My only experience of a sipp but no problems with them. Live prices, auto orders complete, shares mag for free (which is a real great read for ideas and the state of markets) if you have over £4k in them. Shares and funds. Real good communication. Can see prices before you accept an order. Been happy but like I say my only experience so can't compare to others.

Nope it isn't but with the 2 days for money to become withdrawable then 3 - 5 days for banks, with bank holidays at easter I thought it wise to start the process now for next tax year. I'll re-assess all options and see what is cheap out of my current shares or wider. I've been in twice before may well be back for a third.

Exactly what to be worried about. If you and your money want to panic so be it. As for me and my money I'm happy with it being part of a larger portfolio and know that some come off and some don't but sitting staring at prices and expecting big returns within minutes of buying a share is unrealistic - unfortunately this past year has skewed a lot of people's expectations of the stock market and if they don't make 50% a week and have a green day every day then something is going wrong.

Funny that the whole sector is pretty much down and they were talking about a solar stock etc which is pretty much down the same on TV other day. Doesn't matter if a company is big small orders no orders all been dragged down. You either take advantage, panic and sell out or sit and wait.

I fear at the rate EUA are going GGP will either be in single pennies or producing gold before the supposed saviours with all their millions come... First it was everyone had run to crypto and will be back - then crypto has gone down and they didn't come back. Now it is waiting on EUA!! The real trigger will be the new tax year I reckon but we'll see.

Don't think you should hold your hopes up for being able to travel abroad.

I'd get ready for around this level or just under 20p in the near future so you may still get a better top up. But in the long run 20.4p Vs 20p isn't going to make a massive difference.

Forget what others are doing and buy when you can or take advantage of it.

Anyway why sell... end of tax year, end of quarter... they like to balance things so any big losers don't really affect the standings. After all, it is about trying to draw people in to give them money. Which is why small investors have an advantage they have nothing to balance or rules to follow re: % of the fund a stock can be so can keep on holding making big gains.

sangi what did you expect from a classic pump and dump? Gets driven up so much on anticipation of being nasdaq or americans can finally buy and seldom are they interested in a minnow UK company. Happens to almost all of the stocks in the same situation. It then drifts back down to where it was before all the hype.

Just have to ignore the next few weeks and top up if you can or go out in the sunshine. Going to bounce about short term. Long term it will be fine - unless the all elite scientists decide the world needs to remain shut forever.

The best way to hang on is to ignore everything to do with the share and forget you even own it. Sometimes I look through a portfolio and forgot I even owned one or two. That is what a lot of people have clearly done. As one person once said if you're worried your stake is too high or your time frame too short.

Good luck all. I feel this is the perfect time to cash out having made very nice gains over the year and get ready to move some stuff about ready for the new tax year. I may well be back in for a third time on ITV though.

In fact even I was so surprised I've sat and changed my pension about tonight to hopefully fill in the coming days.

I did some calculations on current dividend and where it would be when I retire in 35 years assuming the current yield % is maintained even if price moves up etc. so rough calculations. However, if people sat and worked out how much a couple of grand starting off and then adding only a couple of grand every year could net them in the long haul then a lot more would just sit and let it build and never have to worry about chasing another thing again. but no one has patience anymore.
