A bit confused with the maths here.
1,615,000,000 so just over 1.6b shares in issue.
6.5195% of this only comes to 106,509,250 shares. Not the 225m noted in the RNS.
Can anyone clarify on this at all?
Am I missing something blindingly obvious?

It sure is. I believe he is an ex / retired banker (Lloyds) investments. Clearly did good for himself and knows a good thing when he sees it.
I won't be triggering a TR1 that's for sure. Unless Euromillions win comes my way, in which case I'll be contacting Robbie to invest in Caracal LOL. One can dream.
But in reality, very happy with my holding here, good things to come and hoping by year end, or early 2023 things will look much brighter all round.

The 122,500,000 shares is how many Gary James McConnell now holds, hence the TR1 notifying us, not how many are in issue.

Makes my 14m holding seem very insignificant LOL

There's just over 1.6b shares in issue for GCAT.

New company and not much happening yet so volatile movements will be the case until they become more established and things start to happen.
Patience needed and ignore any price movements for the foreseeable.

I agree, I think suspension has happened with no immediate explanation due to a ‘Liquidity event’ deal incoming.
Suspension first thing means no trading on rumours and leaks, EUA seems to run a right ship compared to other shares I’ve been in when trading increases and an SP rise in the lead up to a good RNS.
So my opinion is this is positive and we are finally close to a deal, whether it’s one big one or one or more smaller ones who knows but I remain very upbeat here and not concerned at this point.
If I’m wrong so be it, nothing I can do about it except deal with it and move on ….
GLA holders here, and us LTH’s may finally have our patience rewarded…….just waiting now for next RNS which could land any day. I’ll be up 7:30 every morning checking for news….

Admit that Alessandro and the team could communicate better, they know opinion out there isn’t great!!
But, news by month end, this will either be accounts report and nothing more, which be be taken negatively, or they have much more news to share, if first IM then that would be very positive and hopefully the SP rises…. We can dream but I’m also going to hold and wait, however long is needed to get this new asset class off the ground and once it does hopefully it spreads and is taken up in all regions.
Waiting is the game…..

Not long since launch and all so quiet here and from Zak and Co. I’d expect some news within the first month or two on a prospective acquisition….

I like your optimism and share it and can only see many positives from GCAT over the coming months and years ahead. Good luck with your 1m holding, I’m sitting on 5m and will just wait medium to long term on this one but very happy to be in at 1p.
20p target!! Not so sure but 3p to 5p should be feasible over the next couple of years.

Happy to be in this from the IPO and it could definitely be an interesting one to watch, I’m sure Zak and the team will be in it and news flow will start soon with acquisitions and more.

Who knows. We need all the details first, what funds have been raised, how many more shares issued, if any, and other details. Once we re-list the SP will be what the market considered right so who knows. Just glad it’s (hopefully) moving forwards and we can get some value back….potentially.

Apparently so. No idea when the deal will be done and when we’ll be back for trading but at least it’s some good news. Be good to get more details on the mine and how much goods are in the ground. And where in the Congo, if remote then it could be costly to mine. Lots of unanswered questions but at least there’s some hope going forwards

0.3p. That’s not going to do the SP any good at all!! Let’s hope 2022 is the year it all turns around. Frustrating.
