Hi Jam, Did you accidentaly post this on the BNN thread? It has caused quite a lot of noise as you then appear to have deleted your posts. If it was you it may be best to repost your apology as it has been taken as a scam to drop the SP. Check out BNN on ADVFN if you want to see the impact!!
Story doing the rounds - a bit more in the AllAfrica version of events http://allafrica.com/stories/201701040327.html According to the documents with details of the deal, in February 2012, Mr Kalaa Mpinga formally introduced Dr Chikanza, representing Zindico, as the official indigenous partner to the Ministry of Youth, Indigenisation and Economic Empowerment. "Negotiations on the commercial terms, review of the various documents and the agreement that Zindico would purchase an effective 26 percent equity in FRGM were concluded and presented to authorities." The amount to be paid by Zindico was agreed on in December 2013 and copies of the agreement were submitted to Government with the responsible ministry being notified of the position
Allenby Research for those that haven't seen it - looks good and well worth reading. http://allenbycapital.com/research/research-tavi_3_2894714661.pdf The counter arguments from other BBs re the suppressed price are the ex Business Development Manger selling off (still 21M to go and very low daily volumes) and that directors have options at 1p - which were in-the-money when they were issued.

Or the conclusion............... Verona has accomplished a considerable amount with the last funding round and significantly de-risked the RPL554 project. These new funds, potentially in excess of £100m/$150m if all the warrants are exercised, will take Verona to a completely new level and provide the funding to take the company through a very significant value inflection point.
http://www.businessweekly.co.uk/news/academia-research/cambridge-teams-alzheimer%E2%80%99s-diagnosis-study Five science & technology companies involved in the Cambridge cluster are involved in a multimillion pound study to detect early signs of Alzheimer's disease; it is being heralded as the world’s most in depth probe in the space. Cambridge University, AstraZeneca and subsidiary MedImmune, Cambridge Cognition and IXICO, which reversed into Phytopharm in Cambridge and whose chairman is local entrepreneur Andy Richards, are all at the heart of the study. It will see the most thorough and rigorous series of tests to detect Alzheimer’s ever performed on volunteers. The Deep and Frequent Phenotyping study is funded by the National Institute of Health Research and the MRC and hopes to dramatically improve the success rate of clinical trials for treatments in Alzheimer’s disease. The landmark £6.9 million research project has been designed to identify measurable characteristics, known as biomarkers, which can detect the occurrence of Alzheimer’s disease very early on in the progression of the disease – when a person may have no obvious symptoms. Between 2002 and 2012, 99 per cent of clinical trials into treatments for Alzheimer’s disease failed. A probable reason for the high failure rate is that treatments are being tested on those who already have irreparable damage to the brain. It is likely that treatments will be more effective in slowing or stopping further at onset of dementia at earlier stages of the disease. Also, by targeting people in the earlier stages, it should be possible to design better clinical trials for treatments that make a real difference and improve people’s lives. The multisite team, led by the University of Oxford, will work with colleagues at eight UK universities and the Alzheimer’s Society, with the project also receiving support from a coalition of biopharma companies including the Cambridge phalanx. The researchers will perform up to 50 tests on 250 volunteers from Dementias Platform UK cohorts, including new tests that have never been used before to detect dementia. The tests will include wearable devices that will give researchers detailed information on people’s movement and gait, and sophisticated retinal imaging that will look at subtle changes affecting a person’s central and peripheral vision. These potential new biomarkers will be used alone and alongside tests such as brain imaging and assessment of memory and other cognitive functions. They will allow the researchers to recognise the early stages of the disease and those who may be suitable for trials of possible treatments. An estimated 46.8 million people worldwide were living with dementia in 2015 and with an ageing population in most developed countries predictions suggest this number may double by 2050. There is currently no known cure for the dise

OBT already stated that they will float the timber business on AIM in Q1 2016 and are proceeding on that basis. Why expect a "deal" before then? A little patience and we may see proper value through the floatation in the not too distant future. Have searched BBs for talk of OBT losing timber concessions and can find nothing after 2 December when OBT addressed this as being those companies with the "simple licence" rather than OBT's "forestry concession contract". Could you kindly point us to the boards (multiple?) mentioned? So far 3 Chinese companies have lost their simple licences for disregarding basic regulations such as worker contracts.
updated their target today to 660. Hopefully.....
A multibillion Birr road has been built in the Dallol (or Danakil) Depression in Afar Regional State. The Depression is one of the hottest areas on earth and one of the lowest points below sea level. The gravel road will stretch 151Km. The gravel road, completed by the Defense Construction Enterprise at a cost of 2.7 billion Birr, stretches from Agula via Berhale (in the regions northeast) to Dallol. The road is expected to play a role in easing problems of transportation in potash-rich region. The estimated 160mn tons of potash in the region is expected to earn the country 1.5 billion Br to two billion Birr per year. http://allafrica.com/stories/201510130337.html Potash is used as an industrial chemical and to produce fertiliser. Once extracted, the Dallol potash will be shipped to the Port of Djibouti for export. Companies from India, the US and Canada have expressed interest in getting an exploration licence
http://www.geeskaafrika.com/ethiopia-experts-to-convene-at-hawassa-to-discuss-soil-balancing/11138/ Last para (others interesting too) The first symposium on potash and soil balancing was held in Addis Ababa in September 2014 where a number of researchers gathered to discuss the benefits farmers would have using potash as fertilizer in addition to UREA and DAP. As Ethiopia is known to have a massive potassium deposit in the Danakil Depression in the North-East of the country, the Canada-based Allana Potash and France-based Yara International has been active to have invested sighting the future export market. Tekalign previously told The Reporter that the MoA had already identified about nearly 300 rural districts well known for teff (the country’s staple crop) production that have already started using potash as a chemical fertilizer to keep soil fertile enough. In Ethiopia and sub-Saharan Africa, land degradation and soil nutrient-depletion is a huge problem affecting crop production. reporterethiopia - See more at: http://www.geeskaafrika.com/ethiopia-experts-to-convene-at-hawassa-to-discuss-soil-balancing/11138/#sthash.5vCBTpAT.dpuf

Shortlisted for most innovative European biotech SME award. http://ipfrontline.com/2015/06/five-top-european-biotech-smes-to-be-rewarded-by-commissioner-carlos-moedas-and-europabio/ Based in the UK, Redx Pharma is focused on the development of proprietary, small molecule therapeutics to address areas of high, unmet medical need, principally in cancer and infection and immunology. By improving the characteristics of existing drug classes to create highly differentiated, novel, best-in-class drugs, Redx has already established a portfolio of 13 proprietary, drug programs. Five programs have achieved pre-clinical proof of concept, with relevance for respective therapies to treat MRSA, and solid and liquid tumours. Be good when the panic abates. Doesn't take much and on such low volumes.
Meant to add. I think we'll rerate now.
