Oops just posted itself...
GAD PIE??? Surely its enough to go around and ABDX could be subcontracted to manufacture???

Massive and surprising where you hear US only allocated $10BN for COVID testing vs total population.. .. UK gov must have already signed up to nearly half that on testing contracts over last 12 months!
Does anyone think or know whether Abingdon will get a slice of the huge Global Access Diagnostics
Is pigster associated with Porky??? Related? Lovers???
What is going on with Avacta??? Seems I may have bought in at a bad time. Dropping like lead balloon even after Paul Hills interview. How come? Good time to avergae down or do I take a hit sell and buy back more Novacyt? I know what Porky would say!... How about Pigster?
Agree VanV. Definately not a negative right? Simply another potential revenue stream that can be set up GLOBALLY or REPLICATED by other Co's USING IT/IS technology and Primer Design Test kits... Althpugh used for COVID now what about Winterplex - great for flu season...
Big issue in schools was WHO would administer tests. Well now this is an answer! BIG news and MMs playing with SP to keep down. Current LFT takes 30 mins... Whats another 50 mins eh?
Sooo many applications - couple key points I took on top of the ones already mentioned:
Is this the first reference to being able to take ANTERIOR swabs??? "Testing will be performed using mid-nose nasal swabs, which were found to be effective and well tolerated compared to the more invasive nasopharyngeal swabs"... Something recently highlighted as a requirement by the government as a priority! And then if not adequate then saliva tests. Who else has been doing those???
This could be huge!!! Maybe not the option for the biggest of events with only 900 tests a day but still acceptable as testing volumes for PCR needs reduce... Think about it - instead of busy hospital staff wasting time testing patients, could even move pillar 1 testing to outside the smaller hospital establishments. This clearly answers the issues raised by the Independent article before Xmas...
Thanks websolut. What do ppl think about 'PCR testing capacity'? Was high in the past and effectively unused.... While actual PCR tests in Pillar 1 remain pretty consistent and not necessarily going down. But if capacity is no longer needed?? ?...
Why is everyone linking ODX with AVCT?
Look at the RNS and any info from Avacta and they consistently call out BBI and Abingdon Health... ODX is never mentioned. If AVACTA win a huge contract they can sub-contract manufacturing to anyone they like, even companies the UK Gov have now cut off / stopped contract loike ABDX... Look at the leadership and directors / board members and you'll see they're all part of the same clan (e.g link to YGEN and Myhealthchecked and EKF)... Not clan King Colin of Alva. Quite insidious really.
There has to be a reason directors sold out as they would have known about the contract news and figures when they did... Now there's a mixed message RNS after the official tender contract information everyone was waiting for. Short term PIs were due some rewards today :) Something not smelling right here and agree re:rampy twitter feeds vs official RNS. MCAP +£170M and sales could be zero or even say get min £50M based on margins profit and EBITDA with the costs to get manufacturing at scale could still be low. Not something I want to be part of compared to Novacyt and Avacta... So going to continue the faith in NCYT, which is cheap as chips at the mo, and in AVCT to track over longer term as licensing royalties will be where the real money is! SP and buyers seem to agree...
Dont understand why the RNS is so NEGATIVE after all these weeks of waiting to confirm actual gov contract. Why Colin K is putting ODX down? Very confusing after all the amazing tweets and hints to simply state effectively selling / manufacturing Zilch for gov at this time. Is it somethibg that UK gov have said they must do? Has to be contractual right? Doesnt make sense when SP was due to shoot to the moon. Still expect some form of SP rise. Alot of LFTs are needed to meet the testing demands post release of lockdown.
The short time period is more to do with the fact GOV will only give out free tests till end June. Then the expectation is companies will purchase and supply their own tests. Who will they buy from???
This is from the official UK gov email if you order twice weekly LFT testing... I have kids at school and they changed the test pick up site to a 40 min drive away. With mass roll out of LFT and the guidance to get a PCR test if positive result, do we expect PCR testing to rise or fall? I don't believe it would go down as a result!

5). If you get coronavirus symptoms or test positive
If anyone in the household tests positive or gets coronavirus symptoms, tell the school and make sure the person and the household or bubble:
A. self-isolate immediately
B. get a PCR test (a different coronavirus test) to confirm the result

Plenty of business to go around! Thanks for sharing document as very interesting / useful to know global airport usage.
So who are the French using for PCR testing... where they have the best gold standard supplier local at home??? Anyone know?
Also where we know NCYT have big prescence in Germany - has anyone seen evidence of supplying CENTOGENE?
Is now a good time to buy into Lloyds. Was in COVID stocks but wish to differentiate and spread funds across some more stable assets (like banks??). Cant decide between Metro or Lloyds. Seen some significant big buys though today for Lloyds... Is that normal due to the high number of shares and big IIs dealing or quite a surprise?
Agree with Gazman. Had little keepy toppy uppy myself earlier today and SP has already gone up by nearly 5%... With no RNS. Shameful - imagine what would happen with an RNS??? Or could there be some MM shenanigans at play to force out the week. Stay strong all and hold tight like all rollercoasters sometimes you go up, then down and up again but remember you always end up where you began... So is it worth jumping out before the ride is over? Each individual inveator to decide - but careful not to get out too low as you may just miss the high or the joys of the destination!
To clarify - is PCR testing dead or a dying breed? How come RFU didnt just go with LFTS if they're so good? Both have a place and that's why I'm invested across the spectrum as believe enough demand for all testing. Just need to be patient.
Sourcebio just won contract to supply England rugby... PCR tests!!! So is testing really 'dead' or a dying requirement??? The shift over next 12 months will be public sector to private. Which will have the stronger profit margins?
