The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring financial educator and author Jared Dillian has been released. Listen here.
The unfortunate thing leatherapron is that your very first post read exactly like it had come from the playbook of a troll.
The last few years on these boards has seen a continuous spawning of new accounts all created to post disruptive nonsense and sow discord and doubt to LTHs.
Posters have been bitten too many times by these idiots hence the frosty responses you’ve received.
If you are genuine then I’m sure that you will stick around and ask further questions.
Good luck with any investments you decide to make
Yeh red it appears so - although who can blame them for turning in early? Seems a lot better option than talking to the humourless bore that frequents this establishment 🤣

´ Meanwhile, UK industry tracker STR showed that revpar plateaued across the sector in the week to 20 April and occupancy was a lacklustre 78 per cent´
This to me seems a contributing factor to the current weakness in SP. Seems likely to be a short term pullback.

Time for daz to vanish
He’ll be in good company with all the other stains in the green bins
I agree - there doesn’t appear to be any obvious or visible reasons why this has been dragged down ~15% since Jan.
The only thing that I can recall that would add a bit of uncertainty at the moment is what is going on with its restaurants as I thought they were trying to sell them off. I doubt they have been inundated with offers for them.
Nonetheless it’s a well run company and at this price it looks a likely takeover target
Hey red - aim and avocet today made some very reasoned and insightful posts!
In summary they argued that Greatland is ridiculously undervalued and encouraged everyone to fill their boots before it goes to the moon.
I’ve spent the last hour trying to convince aim to lay off the ramping as he keeps talking about a £1 a share soon and posting rocket emojis
😁
If I was going to drop 100k on a single stock I would be gathering as much info as I could directly from investor relations and attending AGMs or dare I say it TH meetings, not by asking randoms on an anonymous bb.
That makes perfect sense Mr. Pepper.
You spend all day posting on a stock that in your own words you are not ´likely’ to buy.
Your posts rarely say anything other than a word soup of possibilities all slanted towards the negative.
I’m not´likely’ to buy GDR for example but I don’t post on their board all day every day about all potential negative scenarios that I can make up like you do.
Stop wasting your life
For those who want to continue to read posts from the aforementioned Mr.Pepper, I recommend skipping over whatever it’s posted.
The TL/DR that can be applied to all of its posts is “I’m on the fence”.
To misquote Churchill - never has so much been written to be ignored by so many and read by so few.
I have to agree that the only way forward for Superdry is to scale back the size of their operations and to refocus with a smaller base operation and target market.
I think it’s more realism and acceptance that this hasn’t got long left to run in its current form. The RNSs on Thursday made that crystal clear.
PedanticTom would have been a more appropriate choice of user name.
On the contrary itsoutthere - the decision by NEM to divest is a massive opportunity for GGP.
In case you have forgotten GGP have ROLR for any deal involving Hav which puts GGP in an advantageous position over any other deal proposed by another party.
It’s the start of the Easter weekend lighten up will ya
I do agree that in most cases the way to deal with troll posters is to ignore them and they soon get bored and toddle off elsewhere.
However in some cases you have the serial doubt spreaders, not mentioning any names, but let’s call them fredpepper, who are obviously here to continuously drip feed a stream of negative sentiment. Those ones will just post away even if they are being ignored and if their postings are not countered or ridiculed by informed posters then it gives the impression that their negative viewpoint is the prevailing sentiment towards GGP, which suits their purposes but not the majority here who believe in their investment. So in these cases I think it’s right to challenge and call out the nonsense.
Plenty of people have tried catching falling knives and most regret it.
Kudos to those who time it right. I’m going to keep tabs here until the dust settles.

The truth is that CLNs are often the last resort of funding and once in their embrace it’s really difficult for companies to escape.
I hope this is a short term finance gap filler for current holders sake

I’d be surprised (and happy) if we had news of the Telfer/Hav divestment sooner rather than later.
SD mentioned at the TH last week that he thought NEM being a North American business would rationalise their NA portfolio before the Aus portfolio but that was just his opinion to help set expectations with shareholders who want a deal done tomorrow
Just a game of patience until the news..

Aquababy what a load of misleading rubbish
Redtrader - ´ I would like to know how the water pressure is dropping and what estimates they have for it reaching level where they can continue digging´
It’s really not hard to ask IR at either GGP or Newmont you know. But you know that, right?
The only ‘experts’ that are ‘getting it so wrong’ on a near daily basis are the likes of aquakidd 🤣
Great work dip thanks.
I recall SD saying last night that Telfer was a wetter mine.
