What a stupid absurd thing to say. Bushveld do not know if and when and what effect load shedding will have. They have done enough to highlight it may be a potential issue!
1) Yes it probably should have, but this is Africa things change at very different pace to the developed world.
2) You aren't going to spend the CAPEX on an electrolyte plant until you have buyers. All chicken and egg.
3) The world ground to a halt over Covid and those problems are now being exacerbated by the war in Ukraine.
We are where we are and hindsight is a marvellous thing.
There will be two main reasons.
One it was illegal to generate more than 1MW until recently. The law was only changed in August 2021.
Two the BESS manufacturers did not have the batteries which were curtailed by Covid.
We are at the mercy of Eskom and their load shedding and that is not going to change overnight.
It is not an excuse it is a fact of life!

Are you getting a fair deal? Probably getting close your BOD should probably start meaningful discussions. I imagine it will be third strike and Kistos will be out, if it isn't accepted.

upomega - the offer is just an opening salvo nothing more, to wake the BOD and more importantly the shareholders up. I imagine the BOD new the offer was coming at least a day in advance.
Now the two companies can start serious negotiations.
