The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode with London Stock Exchange Group's Chris Mayo has just been released. Listen here.
Dimi,
Whatever I do, I would normally recommend doing the opposite when it comes to investments!
HOWEVER, my friend who works in construction recruitment put me onto TW years ago and I took a punt then. It wasn't too long after the crash and, seemingly, TW sensibly had acquired quite a 'land bank' so were able to ride it out notwithstanding the fact their sp went very low (as did nearly every equity stock). More recently (a month or so ago), the same pal put me onto RDW and so I took another punt. I should add that none of this is insider info, but his views re the competitors correspond with yours. They also represent my exposure to the UK housing market.
Fingers crossed that it's onwards and upwards!
I appreciate that Jubileey, and actually referenced that in my post yesterday (see below). You’re one of those I follow:

Just a quick thank you to all those who contribute sensible, balanced opinions on here. I suspect I'm like many, who observe, follow but don't (normally) post anything.
I'm conscious that, for stocks which are perhaps more shorted than others, there are likely to be anonymous representatives from the various hedge funds. It's actually fun trying to work out who they are/might be.
However, most regular contributors here (and on other boards) appear to try and present a balanced and objective opinion. I'm not sure that knowing how many shares someone has - or purports to have - but I guess that's just a bit of fun.
Well done to all those who have stuck with this through thick and thin. Hopefully your faith and optimism is rewarded. I only came in towards the back end of last year, averaged down a bit and then (stupidly - with hindsight) sliced quite a bit. But I've left myself enough (not for any early retirement sadly) to have an interest in the recent (and hopefully future) success of this stock.
Anyway, just to say (again) 'Thank You' - what most of you do does help us silent observers!”
It’s a bit harsh. I posted for the first time yesterday and you had a pop, but my comment was simply thanking people (like yourself) for posting stuff. I’ve never worked in the City (save for a short time 20 years ago), am a small private investor and don’t profess to know much at all.
I suspect there are many like me who observe what others (like you) post. There’s no need to be dismissive just because they don’t offer their views on a daily basis.
