Hopefully democrats wins the House and the senate which I think would be bullish equities. As it would likely result in more stimulus.

FTSE 100 futures are down -1.7%, looks like I was very wrong. I find it interesting how little the market sometimes prices in ahead of time given how 'forward looking' it's meant to be.

Maybe I am wrong but I think the market priced UK lockdowns last week. The length of the lockdown is the only thing that could surprise. People looking for crazy cheap entries to stocks, might struggle to find them much lower than current levels in my opinion.

Much lower multiples than some of its peers. I like that.

Much better than the Boohoo board or now the ASOS one. I have opened a position here, wish I had before results. Always the way. Lets hope the re-rate continues.

Well said Bruce. The only reason these boards are full of claims of manipulation is because people are loosing money and dont understand why.

Fair enough, liquidity on ASOS isn't great is it, wonder if its because of the cost of one share.

Just an educated guess, but yesterday the price more likely dropped because that £15m was a sell, not a buy.

Who knows, just sharing my view. I've called ASOS pretty well so far, buying in April and selling before results. :)

I have no idea about that, I just think that before the last update the market was pricing in higher margins potentially for an extended period into the future, where as we now know that out of lockdown the margins get squeezed, so unless ASOS can keep growing at a greater rate than they have been, then it makes it more difficult to hit 5000+

this is a margins story and even if we see an increase again in margins due to lockdowns. Once they are over their will be a reversion to normal, which is likely why this wont reach 5000+ in my opinion.

Problem with boohoo is that it was trading on very big multiples of earnings. With something like this happening, investors will no longer be wiling to pay that unless this issue is resolved. Currently however there is a big risk that the SFO get involved which will cause further pain for shareholders and create an overhang on the stock for years, as these investigations are incredibly slow.
