Amazing amount of traffic going through Tema, there seems to be a lot stacked up outside port. Some boats seem to stay port side for a couple of days, some for less than a day. It looks like they are making maximum use of the extra yardage and are processing 3 boats at a time ........... I know you track things methodically ...any updated stats for us please?

Whilst contract signings can obviously be delayed for a multitude of reasons, putting a countdown clock on a website build really does make you a 'hostage to fortune' .

Always thought Saturday night at 6 pm was a bizarre deadline....would the website developers really be fine tuning it on the Saturday pre launch?

We either get firm contract news this week or a 'happy xmas' update RNS on the 23rd/24th.

One boat left and another one heading in. All three berths in use. There must have been a real push to get the extra berthing yardage up and running so they could process three ships at a time. There seems to be a few more waiting a few miles off shore

6 scanners up and running now which will speed things along. 4 when the port opened, so 2 new ones have gone in.

WSG has appointed a very highly qualified 'scanner manager' to make sure everything runs smoothly.

From what I can gather, this is the scanning process and where the responsibility lies ( I have had this confirmed by the company)

WSG operate and maintain the scanners (on behalf of MPS) and pass on clean scanned images to customs - they analyse them and make decisions on what to do thereafter.

Not long now folks, great to see the port ramping up volumes. That third berthing space has provided just enough 'yardage' to squeeze three boats in at a time.

Looks like there are 4/5 waiting to dock
