George Frangeskides, Chairman at ALBA, explains why the Pilbara Lithium option ‘was too good to miss’. Watch the video here.
IMO they're in trouble, but v tempting with this price and their range of brands. Their diversity in fashion could be a saver for them. I'm going to wait and see!
Just seen this list of negs by a guy on the Boohoo channel (not my work);
Negative factors listToday 16:10
Am I missing any negative factors list at the moment?
1. Warehouse worker costs increase
2. Delivery worker cost increase
3. Raw material cost increase
4. Manufacturing cost incrase
5. Logistics cost increase
6. Shops opening, footfall increase and pandemic resolving
7. Online Competition growing, like Shein and Next etc
8. Website traffic falling
9. Delivery times increasing
10. Customer getting frustrated with delivery times
11. Returns increasing due to more formals being sold rather than casuals
12. Cost of living climbing up with inflation also because people now have to travel back to work
13. No more Furlough money for core Boohoo shopper
14. Boohoo capital stuck in London office buildings
15. No money for Warehouses for a numbers of years
16. Warehouse prices increasing all the time
17. Competition in retail shops prices decreasing all the time
18. ESG concerns
19. Court cases in USA for fraudulent marketing
20. Related party transactions in PLT
21. Promotors sold 150m worth share at 285p and are not buying back, hence not showing any confidence in the stock
22. Promotors might as well trash the share 90% from here and buy back a reasonably valued business for 200-300m and take it private. There is no hope for them to reach their bonus target now of 600p+
Apologies for crossing channels but is anyone else here looking into Boohoo?!
Claire, is this your bag?
Seems cheap but I'm no expert, shopping season coming up..
What the weather like in Dreamland?
Conditions are getting worse, we will see lower before Xmas.
I DO hope to buy in, mega stock but possibly the worst combination of negatives effecting the industry.
GLA
The only person talking sense here is Pedro. Too many holding onto shares and claiming to buy in. Their issues are not going away and are far from over.
I don't hold and have never held however £1.60 is my buy mark.
GLA
Issue is this means v little. Autobuys are adjusted constantly by different Buyers. Same as sells.
780 seems v cheap considering we hit 1000. Topped up at 800 (where I sold before, doh!)
Happy if it went lower...
GLA
I assume this is was posted in error?!
Hi all,
I sold some at 800 and again at 850. Still got half.
I also am thinking about the retrace however we've crossed a boundary it seems and may not drop below 800 again? Like Charles I may have to buy back in! Long term hold for sure, wish I didn't try and 'beat the market' last week!
GLA, 1000 tomorrow, next week?
'Cheerful Charlie' is it 1-1 with Max 'Doom' now? He's been quiet recently...
Thx
That was my immediate thought. Reminded me of the Blue Prism sharp risk by 30% a couple of weeks ago.
Can't be!
Hindsight is always 20/20 Max.
I've still got half
Is everyone else seeing 892?
Why has it suddenly risen so much?
Just sold half for 850!
Question: thinking about Microsoft and their partnership with Darktrace, and other smallish tech companies (Blue Prism, Device Authority etc), do we think a bid to takeover Darktrace is on the cards at any point?
ML has form.
Definitely being held down for the last 3 days looking at the data...
I bought more yesterday and I'm confident this will rise to 450+ again v soon.
DYOR bla bla
Were going up v quickly which is great but not exactly sustainable... Obviously not peak/highest levels yet but we're close.
I don't have a number but if results are good or better than expected we could see a new high and maybe 800+.
Still cheap compared to competitors and with a better IP. Long term up but short term, who knows!
SP down for AWE today, is this due to SS do wr think?
SP down for AWE today, is this due to SS do wr think?
Also commented in the AWE chat if anyone wants to move this convo over! :)

Hmm ones I have are microfocus (not been a winner), TERN (TBC but I'm up, could be huge), AWE (as mentioned), PRSM (still hold some), MGP, CWR, ITM. Maybe LOOP in the future.
Some I regret but with these small businesses all it takes is time to get traction.
Yourself? I'm looking for a few more to hold a few quid in
DYOR
So I mainly invest in smallish/recent IPO UK tech and yesterday was a bumper day all round. Everything up 8-10%.
Maybe all my stocks are gonna be bought up this year :)
Very possible... As previously said ML and his group have form for selling businesses when they hit a certain level.
There are many big US companies who would be interested in DTs IP and their system. I wonder how easy it is to 'plug in' with existing MS programs etc...?
Hopefully their partnership would be beneficial in the long term.
Also, anyone tracking TERN and DA????
