"Possibly illegal miners"..... I suggest you read SI 5 2023 and SI 57 2023. Illegal miners are the last thing it would be. Everything has to be fully documented. The Zimbabwe Govt has gone to great lengths to stop illegal mining and smuggling. The idea that RRR/ALR would be involved is ludicrous.

To export it, ALR has to prove where the ore came from, that they own it and they have to pay the royalty upfront before they can shift a truckload.

AB hasn't told me about this; I looked it up because Dukey was asking where the licence was/is. So if you go to the trouble of looking at the Cadastre you can see all the neighbouring licences. I know it is a bit much but it is called research. If I hadn't looked, I would know about Kobo.

So if you have a look at the Cadastre you will see that the new licence is wrapped around the North East bank of Kossou Lake and the southern part of the lake.

So stop being a lazy harris and do some research. AB did post some photos a couple of years ago and it looked like bush/scrub land. They did some aerial survey work with ground penetrating radar and that doesn't work on heavily forested ground.

So it is so difficult to operate in Cote d'Ivoire that loads of other quoted companies do it and successfully.

Same with Burkina Faso. Just because there are no companies on AIM with gold assets in Cote d'Ivoire doesn't mean there is no activity.

Cote d'Ivoire brought in a new Mining Act a little while back and more activity has resulted. In effect, RRR has engaged in a land grab. The first licence was granted in June 2023 and this is the second. The applications were made in October 21 and so have taken a while to come through.

Note the RNS mentions alluvial mining; that is cheap, easy and quick to bring into production. Watch the TV series Gold Rush which is all about alluvial mining in the Yukon and Alaska. What is needed is some diggers, some trucks and a washplant; maybe a small smelter to produce Dore. Costs would be about $300/$500 an ounce depending on grade. Basically, you take the overburden off, then get into the paydirt and keep digging till it is gone. No hard rock mining involved.
