*Today's IPCC Report was exactly what I had been posting here in terms of the targets not being met and came out before the COP26 meeting as i predicted so let's see what each country pledges now. The UK is well ahead with technology, skills and infrastructure with the CCUS an Gas to Hydrogen compared to many other countries. Especially in Teesside, Humber an the Acorn project in Scotland. Perfect for West Newton ! Hamilton Pete, a well known protestor, never strings an intelligent sentence together about the way forward here without fossil fuels , though his leaflet campaign signified to me an acknowledgement of how big West Newton really is.

* Developing countries would see thousands of deaths without Oil an Gas and their economies would not cope living with a wind turbine/solar panel. The UK is not ready to transition to Electric Cars or indeed put hydrogen in our boilers either yet. It will takes many decades. So much around us is made of fossil fuels so Oil an Gas stays. Do you believe Saudi Arabia will not vow to 'drill every molecule out' as Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman said recently.

So I am hanging tight for news here and putting my trust in David, Mark Abbott and their highly experience team.

Just got back from walking my beautiful Alpaca. So what do we have today then..

That flaky looking one, Cop26 chief Alok Sharma, stating that the world will soon face catastrophe from climate change if urgent action is not taken. That is true Alok, so let's have some solid answers with countries larger than ours with much bigger omissions stepping up to the mark with the technology, skills and millions of pounds to cover it. Sadly Covid has come at a very bad time for many economies to splash out.

Here is a thought ..it would take 700 million electric vehicles to be on the road by 2050 to keep global oil demand at the 2019 levels of 100 MMbpd. But oil demand is growing in the meantime. Then the lack of investment in to oil, because of the greenies, and decline of output from Oil fields. There we see the perfect scenarios for oil demand traps. Same as part of the global air travel will not recover through the fear of covid infections. Now working from home becomes ever popular an will cut carbon emissions. So why will we spend out on an electric cars if you aren't in work everyday ?!

But the facts are, Oil demand will rise, and continue to rise. There are no alternatives to Fossil Fuels at this time for Oil or Gas.

So..these Anti Oil Agenda Benders are feeding us these forecasts and targets with the hope that Oil is going to just disappear.
I think they are talking rubbish.

As the wheels continue to fall off the COP-69, suck it and see wagon, I note that Judge Sophie Buckley has told climate policy chiefs to show why they think reaching net zero carbon emissions will cost only 1 per cent of GDP.

The Judge has said: ‘There is an extremely strong public interest in enabling scrutiny of the data, models and calculations which underpin the CCC’s conclusion that the net zero target could be met at an annual resource cost of up to 1-2 per cent of GDP.

‘Any errors in the calculations that led to the CCC’s conclusions, which, in turn, led to the legislative change, have the potential to have a very significant impact on the lives and finances of large numbers of people, on the spending of large sums of public money, and on the policies of the UK Government over the next 30 years.’

I really fail to understand the secrecy around WN. Why can’t they give us regular updates and put us on a level with “insiders?” There’s no competition to keep it secret from. Aussie companies, like 88e, have to provide weekly updates.

A few years ago SOU would install a web cam at the drill site and you would have daily views of the action proved very popular with investors surprised others never followed their lead.

To conclude, what has been achieved is not sufficient to meet the Paris agreement’s target to limit global warming to well below 2C preferably to 1.5C.

Should have been called COP69 - so let's suck it and see.

The goal posts will need to be moved. To the right. Left...whatever. It isn't happening. New targets will be set.

But the smartest move was David getting this Carbon Intensity Study for West Newton and Biscathorpe. Now that is a trump card and will be key to attracting new investors to West Newton when we prove up the area. That 'AA 'rating and the Humber region and Teesside plans is the difference between becoming a successful Oil and Gas company tomorrow. Not today..tomorrow.
