The first known case of covid was identified in Wuhan, China, in December 2019. They eat live animals and I have watched it on You tube at their wet markets. Yes, they are responsible for covid and I am still testing positive after two weeks of the illness.
Greta is nothing but a child in my eyes who encourages children around the world to take days off school, which is most controversial . She has never paid an energy bill in her life, has a cult following and has just called on banks to "stop funding our destruction", ahead of the UN COP26 climate summit. So, the banks and oil majors will become fearful of investing in to fossil fuels at the command of a school girl. (And how did she travel to London I wonder.? ) We will not transition quick enough to renewables and there will without a doubt be a shortage of Oil if Greta gets her way. The poor countries will not be able to afford to install the technology for the likes of CCUS or wind etc, so they will suffer.
Oil demand will continue to grow between now an 2035. We will see 13 years of demand growth. What will happen to the oil price when we hit peak oil demand ? There will be a slow oil decline too... but the oil price will CONTINUE to rise steeply.
I do hope you have worked out that we will have a shortage of copper too with your choice of an EV . Also, roughly 27% of global use of oil is for passenger cars presently -- but we won't have combustion engines from 2035, thats the idea at least.
Presently we have 1.3 billion engine cars and roughly EV sales were 5 million.
New sales need to offset this . Most car are bought for about 20 years overall.. This will take time to swop from combustion engine to EV cars.
In that time we will need charging stations, new grid lines and we need to double our power capabilities. So how do you double and decarbonise at the same time..?
