Let's wait and see! The market has very little sentiment at the moment so I wouldn't start counting my chickens just yet.

Not only is there a buying surplus, the buys are at lower prices. I notice a large-ish buyer buying £17k chunks too having very little impact on the price.

A decent 750k too. Where is the bottom to this share? My previous 5p was way off and it looks like it's passed Chartist's latest support of 3.9. Didn't someone say in the 2s a few weeks ago?

As much as I'd want to see this over 4p, 5p or even 6p in the short-term, there is no positive market sentiment at the moment. Unfortunately we're going to have to ride out a lower SP for now.

Point taken, I can see funds like Miton (general small cap funds) getting involved at some point. I think everyone will face the same issue here: if firms cannot get funding due to an impending recession then most would rather invest in safer stocks. Small cap funds are no exception.

DT, are you suggesting a hedge fund is participating in the purchase of ARS shares? That is so outfield. HFs are no-where near this share, especially when HFs deal with billions and we have a mrkt cap of ~35mm.

I agree that Gold tends to rise in recessionary markets, but it's a stretch to state that Gold and Copper will rise in tandem. Copper relies on different fundamentals, and therefore could easily see demand decrease if there is a global recession. I think people have seen ARS state a price of $3.25lb and opine that that should the fair value of Copper yesterday.

Having sunk by 70% from our high I also believe small caps have already been hit by the macro environment. If we look at what we were told 2 years ago, we should of now been in positon where the funding was already agreed and the mine is being constructed. 2019 was the year we were meant to see cash flow from BKM.

Although I agree that there will eventually be a commodities rally, when is clearly the question! China currently buys 50% of copper supplies, but they've also been fuelling their decreasing growth with ever more debt. However, a 'hard landing' of China's growth has been predicted and failed for years. The BoE stress-test banks using a decrease in China's growth rate by only 1.2% which is hardly unimaginable, especially when US raises rates to 2% + and the strains on EM debts start to materialise.

It was a rather ridiculous thing to say. I mean, what do you think they've been doing so far? "Time to relax", the share price has fallen from 14p to a current price of 3.85p. Try telling people who bought at over 10p and sitting on 70% loss 'to relax'. Unfortunately I can see this hitting late 2s. The recent placing just keep getting sold.

I know the BOD have been talking to perspective partners for over 9 months and have whittled down the front runners from approx 11 to the final couple. However, I'm not sure at what stage the talks are at. I would expect them to continue to talk up funding irrespective of how well the talks are actually going.

Allthatglitters - fully funded until when? My estimate is only until the end of April, conveniently after the release of the BFS.

Juste, I agree, I generally assume, after a placing, a slight fall due to excess shares off-loaded. Hopefully there will be enough buyers to pick these above 3.6 or I can see this hitting the 2s unfortunately. Tomcorvid, I hope your longer term targets are right. Assuming we'll have enough cash post BFS and a partner for BKM, I can see this in the 10's by mid next year assuming that BFS in delivered on time and is on point.

Where do people think this will be at year end? And what will be the catalyst?

The shares from the placing also enter the market on the 5th Dec.

If Peter buys shares in the million then I'd be a lot more comfortable to say he has skin in the game. Considering Tony put £300k at 11p, he lead by example.

How many will Peter Bird buy? Will he break the bank and buy a couple more thousand shares. We know Tony's interests are aligned, I can't say the same about Peter's.
