George Frangeskides, Chairman at ALBA, explains why the Pilbara Lithium option ‘was too good to miss’. Watch the video here.
If the company held only cash, say 100p per share (and thus market cap would be 100p per share), and paid a dividend of 37p per share, in theory the share price would fall by 37p because cash on the BS would now be only 63p. I'm practice, we run a business which generates futures cash flow with our assets and we are reinvesting our cash flow on that future cash flow. Therefore I do expect a fall from 80p to below 50p ish but not a full 37p.
It doesn't matter whether the share price is at 80p or 600p, the absolute fall will be the same.
"They are close to an agreement but Ukraine have to essentially bend over and to keep taking it up the arse for as long as Russia wants".
Russia is choosing to put Ukraine in an impossible position which is has to reject. These talks are not serious and are going no where.
Last month JPM was predicting 5 US interest rate hikes whereas now they believe the US will see 7 25bps hikes. This was before the invasion of Ukraine.
Rates are still going up.
JPM predict a gold spike but will be below 1900 by year end. Silver follows a similar pattern.
If they have removed standards then it only increases my fear that costs for Ocado will increase.
Ocado will be hit with delays to their delivery disguised as "increase demand". The proof will be in their profits.
When are they predicted to make a profit?
I agree they aren't classified as HGV, but home delivery drivers are nowhere near as well paid as HGV and will end up leaving if they can earn substantially more as a HGV driver, which will be the case.
As most delivery drivers are new to Ocado, Tesco etc they don't have as much loyalty as in store staff. With rising wages in the HGV space there could be consequences on rising costs for home delivery.
Also, as Tesco, ASDA etc are far bigger than Ocado they could be prioritised for home delivery causing even more delays in Ocados delivery service.
These two factors will eat into any profit that Ocado is predicted to make.
Given that none of them have a correlation of 1 there will always be days when TSL is up but Afterpay is down.

Ken, i don't necessarily believe CEY and Gold move in tandem but correlation is not about looking at only 2 data points, it's about taking, for example, daily data points over a 1, 3 or 5 year time horizon and looking to what degree these two are correlated. This is a pretty standard measure of correlation. Your example is meaningless.
Graking - you have no idea if it's a driver with a grudge or a genuine case of paying under the minimum wage.
Also, I think we can be pretty sure the employment contract states they should be paid the minimum wage at a minimum.
It sounds like, even if there was a genuine case of paying under minimum wage, you wouldn't accept it because you consider yourself "a serious investor".
