George Frangeskides, Chairman at ALBA, explains why the Pilbara Lithium option ‘was too good to miss’. Watch the video here.
Infinity - what do you think will happen to Russia? Russian unemployment is rising, interest rates at 20%, rising inflation, currency has declined by 40%, foreign investment disappeared and rich Russians pulled their money out of Russia due to sanctions. And this is only after 2 weeks, what do you think Russia will look like by the end of the year? Russia is isolated and will have very little money to rebuild Russia's economy let alone Ukraine.
Infinity - there is absolutely no evidence to suggest this is going to be over soon. In fact, Putin is sending more troops from Russia into Ukraine.
Russia to rebuild Ukraine? Did Germany rebuild Europe after WW2? Your comments show nothing but delusion and greed.
Jotom,
The situation has drastically changed since the demerger was initially proposed. Profits will decline massively here because of the war. They will need cash. I think it was wise for them to cancel the divi and demerger.
The courts will not go through each and every sanction, especially when this is being done across multiple countries. Their reasoning is valid as they don't want RA to have access to his assets. This has happened many times with Russian individuals.
How often have these Russians won in UK courts when trying to unfreeze their assets? Zero!!!!!!
Anyone who honestly believes the SP will go up after this is honestly deluding themselves. Fund managers will exit if they haven't already and RA will probably be forced to exit too.
The suspension of the dividend and the cancellation of the demerger is all about saving much needed cash.
Will we have Russian assets after this? Our balance sheet will get decimated after this. It'll be a rebuilding exercise which will be difficult to swallow. This will drop to below 50p on day 1. Probably close to 20p by EOW when it opens.
EVR has been suspended because its largest shareholder is RA, and the UK Govt doesn't want him to have the opportunity to sell his holdings, and thus potentially help fund the war.
The same goes for Chelsea.
It took the West 22 days to invade Bhagdad. Russia are of the opinion that all is going to plan now that have taken a few cities in the south and will target Kyiv next.
Russia will not stop invading Ukraine. Moldova looks to be the next country they will invade.
If the above is true then sanctions will only be more wide ranging. EVR could be suspended for a lot longer than people think.
It was a misspelling.
When you stand infront of the mirror tonight I want you to repeat out loud "My shares are suspended whilst Hedged is sitting on cash. But i am the smart one"
Report back tomorrow with how it felt.
Point to my name calling with a quote!!!! I've only congratulated those who didn't follow the crowd. Its not surprising you cannot distinguish between the two if you simply cannot understand the risks here.
Look in the mirror tonight before bed and tell yourself "my shares are suspended whilst Hedged has cash, but I am the smart one"
Any operations in Russia, Ukraine or even Belarus is not only at its highest risk but will no doubt be hit by shortages.
When this opens, which won't be for a while, this is going to open significantly down. Patience has paid off to those who didn't follow the crowd.
This is a perfect opportunity for those who sat on the sidelines understanding the risks.
Given a decline in its Russian operations and no dividend payment these shares can be moped up cheaply for probably close to 20p.
Well done to those who assessed the risk and was patient.
ST's valuation failed to materialise. At least it gave me an opportunity to enter a position yesterday at 27p. But I wouldn't trust his advice given his performance on this stock.
ST has a terrible record when it comes to valuing TSL. If it surpassed his target he'd be valuing it at 150p again.
Why would the price matter? My very simple example showed by the price doesn't matter, its about market cap and cash.
The reason why it could fall by more or less than 37p is because we aren't in normal times and the volatility on this share is very high.
